With 1.7 we're introducing two new types of activity that allow you to organize planned and spontaneous meetups that 'Hooders can RSVP to. With 1.6 we're introducing identity verification. Verifying your identity is an easy way to build trust in the Parenthoods community. We'll show your verification status on your profile, in direct messages/notifications, and within Classifieds/Childcare posts. As always, we'll be improving on this in the future so keep the feedback coming! We've also revamped the Activities tab so that it's much easier to browse all activities or just those you've saved. The event detail view has also been updated with a fresh new design. 1.3.1 fixes a crash when logging into the app for users using iOS 7.x as well as other issues related to iOS 7.x. **What's new in 1.3** We really do appreciate all feedback! Keep it coming :) **Discuss Tab Sorting** This time round we're tweaking your feed a little. Any new posts since you last opened the app will appear sorted by what's popular (we'll be tweaking this calculation I'm sure!). Any new posts that come in while you're using the app will then appear in chronological order (just like before). This is not competitive though - the order will be different for each 'hooder depending on when they opened the app. A setting to revert back to the traditional order can be found in the app settings! **Deep Links** What are deep links? Well, they're our way of sending you to the part of the app that's relevant. - Received a push notification? Swipe/tap it and it'll open the app and send you directly to the post/message the notification was for. - Shared a post with a friend/partner? They can now tap on the link and the app will open, then show the content you shared. - Shared a post with someone who doesn't have the app yet? Not a problem - if they use the link they'll be first taken to the App Store. Then after becoming a fellow 'hooder, we'll figure out what content they were meant to be shown in the first place and show them just that. - What about friends who view a link on the desktop? They can now see an anonymized version of the post on the web. **Mute Users** We're taking small steps here as we're not seeing too much need for it but if you do want to mute someone then they'll stop seeing your posts and you'll stop seeing theirs, plus you won't get notified if they send you a direct message. **What you've missed - email** At the end of each day we're going to send you an email. Not just any email, and definitely not an email with everything from Parenthoods that day (which would be a lot!). The email will contain everything we think you've missed in the 24h prior. So if you receive a comment on your post and never saw the notification or viewed the post, it'll be included in the email. We know that these emails aren't for everyone so we've made sure you can customize them to your liking or turn them off completely. Give them a chance though, we love them already! **UI Tweaks** The most obvious things you'll notice are our new logo and welcome screen. There's lots of other small tweaks too. **Push Notification Settings** We've changed the point at which we ask you to enable push notifications as we know you may not wish to turn them on at first. Introducing the Parents Tab We've created a new tab so that you to quickly find other hooder's and easily see who else is in your neighborhood. Why not send them a Direct Message to say "Hey!".
