Making Change is an interactive program that helps students learn how to convert larger denominations of currency into smaller ones. Students practice breaking a dollar bill into quarters, dimes, nickels, or other coin combinations that add up to the same value.
The screen is simple and easy to follow:
The top box shows the coin or bill for which change is needed, along with its value.
The middle section provides spaces where students place coins or bills to make change, with a counter showing the total.
At the bottom, students can click on coins and bills to choose which ones to use.
By combining visual cues and interactive practice, Making Change strengthens money-handling skills, builds confidence, and makes learning about currency fun and engaging.
