You know how the Alerts tab would open up, and then the whole app would slow down? Yep. That bug has been isekai'd. The bug that would load the same set of notifications twice? That bug has met Truck-kun. Scrolling is now very smooth in the Alerts tab and it should no longer lag the performance of the entire app when you open it. Additionally, the Home tab has been separated into three segments to make it easier to use and to avoid it from loading information you don't need. You now have three different tabs for Anime, Manga, and Activity. Finally, it includes some fixes for animations that broke in the previous version.

In this update, the Home tab has been rewritten to not only be more performant, but to also look prettier on bigger screens such as the iPad or your M1 Mac. You can now enable notifications to be sent to you when a new episode of a series you are watching airs. - We now have support for Characters. You can view character info, search for characters, and view what series characters are from. - Tap the "Time Watched" label in a user profile to toggle between smaller units (minutes, hours, days) and bigger units (months, years). - The media management view has been improved so it only shows you the relevant fields when editing. For example, if you add an anime to your Plan to Watch list, you will not be asked for the score, advanced score (if applicable), start date, and finish date. - You can now search for users using the Search view. - A review prompt has been implemented. The alert was implemented in such a way that it won't pop up often, and it won't even show up in the first days under normal use. The alert will respect your device's settings for review prompts, and it won't show up at all if you have it disabled. PRO FEATURES: - You can now choose a different app icon for the app. We have added an icon for each color that matches the default themes you can pick in Anilist, and a dark variant for each icon - that's over 10 new icons!
