Makeabook turns talking into a book — in your own words.
Most of us think best out loud: on a walk, in the car, in the minutes before sleep. Makeabook catches those thoughts and gives them a place to grow, without ever writing for you. What ends up on the page is what you said.
TALK, DON'T TYPE
Hold to talk and say what's on your mind. Your words are transcribed and filed into your book as an idea you can come back to, add to, and rearrange. Nothing is rewritten, polished, or "improved" behind your back.
CAPTURE FROM THE LOCK SCREEN
Start a voice note straight from the Lock Screen, a Control, or the Action Button — no unlocking, no hunting for the app. Notes land in your Inbox and upload when you're back online, so a thought on a walk is never lost.
A ZOOMABLE MAP OF YOUR BOOK
See the whole book at once: chapters and ideas laid out as an outline you can zoom into, with little doodles so each idea is easy to spot. Drag things where they belong as the shape of the book becomes clear.
HEAR IT IN YOUR OWN VOICE
Play back any idea in your own recorded voice, so you can listen to your book the way you said it — great for reviewing on a walk.
QUESTIONS THAT DIG DEEPER
Makeabook asks specific questions about what you've said — the follow-ups a good interviewer would ask — to help you remember the story, the detail, the example. Answer by talking, and your answer joins the book.
DRAFTS ONLY WHEN YOU ASK
When you want to read your book as prose, ask for a draft. It's built from your own words, in order; any connecting text that isn't yours is clearly marked as AI-written, and gaps are flagged so you can tell that story yourself. Your original notes are never changed.
FIX IT BY VOICE
Select a phrase and re-say it; Makeabook splices your correction into place. Undo is always one tap away.
WRITE TOGETHER
Share a book with family, friends, or a co-author by invitation. Your books are private by default.
PHOTOS TOO
Add photos to ideas — the old letter, the whiteboard, the place it happened.
Makeabook works with your account at makeabook.app: sign in on the web, then pair your phone by scanning a code. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from Settings.
