Thanks for being part of the DiskiNet open beta. Here's what's new in this update: NEW: DISCOVERY SEARCH MODAL Tapping the search bar on the Discovery screen now opens a full-screen search modal. Search for any player, scout, or fan by name — results appear with profile photos, position or club details, location, and a verification badge. You can follow or unfollow directly from the results list without leaving the screen. The modal works across all account types (Player, Scout, Fan discovery screens) and auto-focuses the keyboard on open. AGE ELIGIBILITY CHANGES We've tightened age rules to better reflect our platform's focus on active football talent: • Players: minimum age is now 6, maximum age at registration is 30. The date of birth picker enforces this range and the server validates it independently. • Fans: minimum age is now 12 (down from the previous unrestricted lower bound). These limits are enforced on both the client and server to ensure data integrity. IMPROVEMENTS • Keyboard no longer obscures content on the Conversation, New Conversation, KYC Verification, Credential Submit, and Verification Request screens — all wrapped in the shared KeyboardAvoidView component • Scout Discovery screen's search input now correctly shows a loading indicator while results are fetching • Discovery header search bars replaced with non-editable tap targets — the keyboard only appears inside the modal, preventing accidental input on the main feed BUG FIXES • Fixed a JSX structure mismatch on the Player Discovery screen that could cause a render error • Fixed the Scout Discovery search bar being unresponsive to taps due to an incorrect activeOpacity wrapper • Resolved an edge case where clearing the search query on the Discovery screen did not dismiss stale results ABOUT DISKINET DiskiNet is Africa's football talent discovery platform — free for everyone. For Players: Upload skill highlights, complete scout drill challenges, receive endorsements, climb the Diskiboard leaderboard, and get invited to trials. Players aged 6–30 are supported, with guardian consent flows for under-16s. For Scouts: Discover talent filtered by position, age, and location.
