How GOnow works:
- Open the app to find a nearby GOnow-Scoot (electric scooter), GOnow-Eride (e-bikes coming soon), GOnow-Bikes on the way, on the map
- Unlock your ride by scanning the QR code or enter the code-iD
- Now take a ride to where you need to go, it’s fun and real affordable
- At your destination, park and lock your ride neatly out of the way of foot traffic or demarcated areas shown on the map once you’ve arrived safely

What a brilliant way to get around Cape Town and enjoy the surroundings of a magnificent City. The ride is easy and usage is simple and easy. Even for someone who is not technology advanced it was simple to get going! World class service at its best
Great Concept! Execution needs work.
I'm giving this a generous 4 stars because I think the concept is excellent and I'm excited that this kind of transportation is finally teaching SA.
Pricing is great, simple, straight forward and doesn't break the bank. Comparable to taking the bus, which I believe is your biggest competition in the commuting space.
The actual bikes are not great. They look like ebikes, have batteries like ebikes, are heavy like ebikes but are not ebikes. Ie you're just cycling a normal, extra heavy bike. This is worse when the bikes are the tiny "BMX" style ones. I'm not rolling to work on one of those!
Also found another issue with a bike with brakes that were such a weird angle I had to break with my thumb. Who does that? It was not safe!
So all in all... I feel some work could be done on the bike side of things. But absolutely love the concept and assuming I can find a decent bike, I will opt to cycle over the bus to work.
