The app has no iPad version, so I have to watch videos in blown-up iPhone mode. There is also no picture-in-picture or audio only support so I can’t watch or listen to episodes while I’m using other apps, or if my device is locked.The streaming quality is always awful so If I don’t download ahead of time, it’s unwatchable.Please flesh out your features. These are BASIC streaming functions your app is missing.

I subscribed to premium just over an hour ago and I just want to say I hate this app. If there was a free trial - I probably wouldn’t be this upset. Most streaming services have free trials for this reason because as consumers we first need to test out the service before we decide if this is worth paying for. But unfortunately Viu didn’t have this option and now I’m stuck with this app for the next 30 days because I’ve already paid for the services… but these are my frustrations so far 1. This app is not functioning properly on my smart tv. It glitches a lot - seems to be working fine on my iPhone but I mean why do I want to watch something on the phone if I have a smart tv, unless I’m experiencing loadshedding of course. 2. The phone and tv are not corresponding. In a sense that if I watch something on the phone, when I try to access it via tv. It doesn’t show where I left off. Although I’m using the same account ?! It’s like the phone and the tv use separate accounts. 3. The structure of episodes 🤔 I really am not understanding that one. If I’m watching episode 40 and it ends, episode 39 will play next????? Make it make sense. 4. Skip intro ? Skip to next episode? Where are those features ? I don’t want to waste a whole minute or so watching an intro of something if I’m binge watching shows. I’m really unhappy with this app, and trust after these 30 days, I’m not renewing my subscription. It’s really sad cause I really love consuming local content but I guess I’ll just stick to Showmax, DSTV now and eVOD.

I was extremely sceptical at first about downloading this app. I had seen the advertisements of this app on TV and I had missed quite a number of episodes of Imbewu. But when I saw all the negative comments about Viu, I was like eish, maybe it won’t work. So I was like, let me just try it out and see what they’re complaining about. To my surprise, I found that it works really well. It’s layout is quite basic, but all the episodes of Imbewu were there and I can even download them to watch them later.Maybe the device being use affects how well this app works. Maybe if an iPad or something is used, it will work better.

This app probably cares about making money than anything else. When u watch a 23 mins soapie, expect ads 5 times and every 4 minutes. In the beginning there will be 5 ads and that will happen the next 4 times from there. There’s another ad of Nandos what what, it’s 59 seconds and yet there’s another 4 ads after that one. I know there’s premium but they shouldn’t annoy us to subscribe to it. Download something else unless u willing to pay their premiums. I watch one soapie but can’t watch it in peace. I decided that I will rather do DStv catch up than this. They don’t even deserve the one star I gave them.
