Love how CleanMyMac finds duplicate files, clutter, and junk in general that I can remove from my machine. It goes to fetch all the gumpf for me so that I don’t have to manually trawl through everything, it’s like having a proactive little file cleanup assistant. Love it. The desktop app also has a little widget that you can access quickly to optimise / free up CPU pressure, which helps if you find yourself doing a lot of things at once. Bought the paid version with a smile.
CleanMyMacX is Painfully SLOW

Mac Gurus are almost unanimously against third party cleaners of Mac. Two such people demanded that I remove ‘Clean my macX’ on two separate occasions saying: You don’t need it; it will slow down your Mac. I have 3 complaints against the current version of Clean my Mac X1. It is notoriously SLOW in searching just a one Terebyte hard drive.2. You had better do it during a long lunch because you will not be able to do other work on your computer while it is scanning. Everything gets the beachball.3. Thirdly, at some stage during the clean up, CleanMyMacX prompts for the user to download a “helper” — which after putting in the password, keeps demanding the password. This is most unprofessional not to mind a complete waste of time. This happens to me, (I don’t know about you) and since I am never successful in inserting the little helper, some cleanups FAIL.For these 3 reasons I give CleanMyMacX a low score. Conclusion: These greviences have been pointed out the CleanMyMacX before, and they still don’t seem to get them right in their latest versions

One of the best app experiences I've ever had. Brilliant UX, truly stunning UI, and fantastic backend processes that make for a terrific experience all-round. Absolute must-have if you want to keep your Mac optimised and hitting its full potential. Constant updates have improved it at incredible speed over the last year or so, the time difference in its operations compared to when I first got it is unbelievable. Could not recommend this application more!

I was ready to buy a new laptop with more storage because I had nothing left to delete and my hard drive would still fill up. After installing this app, I went from having 5GB available to around 140GB. It is worth all the money and the UI is beautiful and very responsive. I recommend this to anyone with a Mac
