Really such a slick app! There’s good browsers functionality wise, but Opera really provides that next level feeling and experience not only because the browser is good, free vpn, privacy, password manager, desktop sync, and super fast! - but also it just feels like designers spent time on the user ease of use and happiness. It could have been a native IOS browser or app and I would not have noticed, how smooth! Well done team… (this is not a paid for comment 😁)

Beautiful browser, but a bit too light

Opera has managed to create a browser that fits in with the iOS design language better than Apple has. The “one touch” functionality is slick, and the browser integrates nicely with the Opera desktop browser - offering integrated ad blocking, crypto-mining protection, and the convenient “my flow” functionality.Unfortunately however there are still a few more additions required before this browser can compete with Safari. It’s all the little things that you take for granted when you’re on a well established browser, but you suddenly start noticing they’re missing on a browser like this.Search suggestions in the search bar for one. Things like a reader mode. Private/Incognito mode? I’m not even sure if there’s a “find in page” functionality in place. You’ll notice more and more as you use it.I’m not sure if this is indeed perhaps what Opera was going for? A very light, simple browser? If so then I suppose they’ve accomplished that, but if they were trying to give us an alternative to Safari - then I’m certainly rooting for them and I believe there’s a lot of potential in the product. Opera for desktop is my favorite desktop browser - I’d love to see Opera Touch improve to the point that it’s my favourite iOS browser.

2 things crop up which have caused me to reduce my initial rating. 1. The is the Aria Browser AI pop-up which tries every few days to get you to sign up for an account. It is not intelligent as it can only aggregate a response based on parameters that it has been programmed to and on non-cogntive information it has gathered. It only regurgitates information which it has no understanding of. 2. Even after clearing browser history and using private browsing, trackers are still present, which allow websites to remember you, even after supposedly clearing all information. That means your browsing is not sercure or private. A third problem has developed, with the latest update, you can no longer create bookmarks when using "Private Browsing". Everytime you try it just ignores the input and goes back to page you were viewing

I decided to give Opera a go as I was frustrated with Safari and boy, I’m glad I did. The interface on both desktop and mobile versions is simple and intuitive and it’s super fast. I highly recommend Opera.

- App links dialog.
Sometimes links will open in external apps by default on iOS. This feature will allow the users to decide (dialog) if they want to open the link in the browser or in the external app. The choice will be stored as default behavior for each domain/link and can be changed in Settings.
- Media Settings
A user can enable "Forced Media Playback in background tabs or if app is in background.
- Always mute a domain
If a website automatically plays media or sound that you find annoying, you can choose to always mute it (until unmuted) when loaded. Long press the mute button in the searchbar and select "Always mute domain"
- We've removed the Opera AI sheet
Opera AI will always open in a normal tab from now on. Old AI chats can be found as separate tabs in the tab manager.
