What a pleasant surprise proton vpn is, like a shining light in dark.While i am a paid member to proton mail , proton drive and calendar, i have never had need for a vpn enough warrant a paid product. But unlike most free tier products that perform badly, and are covered in targeted advertising, with often misleading limitations, this is clean ad free ,like all proton products ,and will be forever. The proton product range and its ideals is truly a wonderful experience privacy and security first, apps that simply does what they are suppose to without hidden catches and advertising. I can finally say i use a free product where i am not the product :)

Proton has a bunch of features that you need like asap , you can create your own VPN custom files for WireGuard and OpenVPN even without a subscription, with a subscription it gets even better , the kill switch feature is also a bonus touch , it’s fast you won’t even notice that you are running a VPN and there are a lot of regions to pick from , and the yearly subscription is just perfect if you want to save more you can get the 2 year subscription which is literally you paying and forgetting about paying again

Probably the most transparent VPN app I’ve come across and I’d love to see it keep growing.The paid tiers add ad and tracker blocking, along with better network speed than my home network.While the free tier has a lot of limitations compared to paid it’s perfectly usable for most tasks and I still find it gives me a more stable connection than the mobile networks and hotel wifi I generally switch to VPN for.

Dont know much about VPN’s but this app is easy to use. I can set it and forget it. Switches between WiFi and 5G without dropping the connection. People complain about slower speeds but I don’t notice this. Maybe heavy usage users uploading and download gigs of data do but for most people, it’s fine.
