Using the climate monitoring as a remote fail safe checking system and micro climate discrepancies. Measurements are accurate, notification function work great. I would recommend this system for similar applications.

I must admit that since i bought my first Tapo light bulb to switch a lamp on and off at the far side or my room, I’ve converted my entire apartment to all Tapo products, cameras (as I work from home - people coming and going) to water sensors temperature controller’s and even the Tapo RVA300 vacuum cleaner for my 200 square meter apartment and I’ve loved everything that I can do with the system and with two cats I can’t believe how I ever lived without it, well done to Tapo and your developers, i am totally impressed and overwhelmed: THANK YOU. As you can see you’re missing the last star as sadly your upkeepOf maintenance spare in South Africa is shocking and never available so sad. Secondly you please need to advise your clients when you update the app, as I under updated my app a month or so back and everything was super slow and the app kept closing down. Now I’ve just checkYou’ve release and update fixing bugs and issues without notification to your client base, I’m a loyal customer and even a subscription member, please don’t try hide a problem, announce the updates and solution this does sadly disappoint all the amazing products! 🙏🏻
Automation Limitations

The Tapo app is extremely limited when it comes to automation. It does not even allow you to use all of Tapo’s own devices as automation triggers. For example, their door sensors cannot be used as conditions in many automation scenarios.The available actions are also very basic. For instance, while there are actions to increase or decrease a light’s brightness, there is no option to set a specific brightness level. Instead, the brightness changes by an arbitrary amount chosen by the app, which makes it difficult to create precise automations.For a smart home ecosystem, these limitations are disappointing, especially considering they affect Tapo’s own products. If you want more flexibility and control over your automations, I would recommend using a self-hosted Home Assistant setup instead.
Great app, annoying notifications

App is great, but loses 2 stars for having super annoying notifications about battery life of wireless cameras (which you can’t turn off unless you turn off all notifications), and annoying notifications about subscriptions that keep popping up (even when you’re fully subscribed). Emailed developer directly about this, received no feedback.
