What I dont like: There is no way to record the entire night. You can only record snippets. Even if you set it to high sensitivity then the app misses things. My son climbed out of his cot last night and it didnt even pick that up so we have no recording of it to understand what happened.What I like: The sock works really well and when my son was still a baby that part of the app was a gamechanger for us. We monitored his oxygen every night and when he was sick (which was most of the time) it gave us peace of mind. When he had RSV we immediately knew something was up because his oxygen levels were down. This was before he even showed symptoms. We took him to the ER and they admitted him asap. I dont know how we would have gotten through the first year if we didnt have an owlet.

Owlet hardware is okay at best, and if you can make it through the product onboarding (known disconnection issues with the Dream Cam) you’re met with this very average app. There are some nice features( like background audio) but it’s not a great app experience. Connecting to camera streams takes time and the inability to share the app with a partner is a crazy oversight. Very underwhelming considering the cost of hardware.

For price of product, not impressed with how the products and app speak to one another. For instance cam notifications automatically switches off continuously without prompting. Sensory also very finicky, and alarm goes off often if sensor on dream sock moves an inch, which should have been a design consideration for active babies. Alarm has tendency to go off regularly at most inopportune times, which is mot ideal for target market i.e., fussy babies and tired parents. App and products need lots of work. To boot, multiple tickets lodged for assistance without contact from client support.

My owlet dream sock worked amazingly and was super helpful with monitoring my baby. Then all of a sudden one day it just stopped picking up my WiFi (never had this issue when I first got it) have tried everything and still doesn’t work. It’s frustrating as now I cannot see the readings of the sock
