The one and only giant for secure online money transactions

I’m using Paypal already since several years and never had any problems with it. I opened my first overseas (Europe) where like literally everybody is paying online over Paypal. South Africa is in this case a bit slow. You can transfer money to friends and family worldwide and also do receive payments from business partners and can hold several currencies. Please keep in mind this will not be a classic bank account so holding funds there gives you no interest and as soon you bring it into the you try you HAVE TO pay tax. Buying something cross border with Paypal and credit card you definitely have a customer protection and will get money back. 5 Stars from my side!!
Still not sure

First time experience felt so unsecure that I felt victim of another scam because Once I received a email from pp saying that they had the money from the buyer and it was pending then I received a email they will release it once I email them the waybill number which was inconsistent info from first email. Then on calling their support there number didn’t work. And after a long chat on messenger the support person couldn’t really help me so I canceled the sale of my gear as I can’t afford to loose $3300 worth of camera equipment. So PP you have more to do to ensure a safe and securaty experience. No where was There information for how long it would take. but when I used it to send more it was instant.
No help to release a payment on hold

I am very upset and dissatisfied. I have a PayPal account and have received a payment which has been put on hold and is pending until 23rd December 2022. I have tried the online chat service and the advice given, I followed - which did not help me at all. I tried to call the customer service line but only Portuguese speaking options are available. Yes, I live in Portugal but I cannot speak Portuguese and cannot find a way to resolve this issue of my money being put on hold. When I try the resolution center to report a problem and select the payment - I get a message that says - “We’re sorry, it looks like something went wrong on our end. Please try reporting the transaction again’. I have tried MULTIPLE times and it always gives the same message. I cannot get ahold of any person to speak with who can help and the inline help via the message centre - agent Bruna - did not resolve my problem.

Why payments coming in have such ridiculously long holding periods…
No_Tomfoolery
In the day and age of crypto where you can send millions of dollars across the world in a matter of seconds, minutes or even the clunkier Bitcoin (up to a few hours). I do not understand PayPal and their “justifiable” hold periods. This is even after you declare that an item is a Digital Service requiring no actual product to be shipped out (but is delivered immediately) to the consumer at point of payment. These holds are 5-7 days (some 2 weeks) and then 3-5 days to withdraw to your own bank account ?? How does this make common sense in today’s age of immediacy? PayPal you are getting left behind (like all dinosaurs who don’t adapt with the times). What once was a genius peer to peer payment system is a mere footnote in todays digital age of crypto payments, instant money access and multi currency options. Bye Bye PayPal it’s only a matter of time…….Adapt or become another Nokia, Blackberry.
