It’s hard to imagine my life without books and Audible makes it too easy to enjoy all the reading I have time for. Quality content. Always available. Easy payments. Immediate downloads. Great narrators...There’s is one feature I’d like to request: censorship control. The listener should be able to decide what they want to bleep out while listening to a book. For example all swearing, what some consider as blasphemy, or both.You could add this feature to existing titles by training an AI model to recognise words, and use something like iOS’ audioTapProcessor to modify what is played via the output channel.

I finally managed to download some books I was interested in. Turns out it was an error on their side. Without explanation or apology all the books disappeared a month later and no credits were given back. Daylight robbery. Do not use this app they do not care about their customers outside the US of A! I have signed up to this app previously and left because of lack of content in my region (at that time UK, donkeys years ago). Recently I was offered a 3 month trial (yay! short lived). As I looked for a book to use my first credit most of the books were not available in my region (and I mean at least 98% of them). I emailed them to be told if I log in I will only see availability in my region. I use the app on my phone and am logged in, so that’s incorrect and I am never logging in on my pc as I don’t use my pc for audible. Roll on to my second month of my trial, I have just looked for a new book to spend my credit on it is very slim pickings and as most books that I click on are unavailable in my region it has taken over an hour to not find a book I’m excited about. Then the free content…same, same but different there are more authors available but surprise, once again it is difficult to find a book that you want to listen to in your region. From my email correspondence Audible are typically corporate in their response, very quick, very personable, offered a special deal etc. No real solution to the issue, so not heard. If they had just said ‘it is what it is’ that would have been better but entering my second month the frustration is back. Do you get a lower rate because of lack of content? No. Do you only see books available in your region? No. Do audible do anything but pay you lip service when you contact them? No. So will I be continuing after my free trial? Unlikely.
Gripping story and wonderful performance

I’m usually one to take my time with audiobooks, taking over a month to finish a book usually… however with this one… I finished within 4 days. I’ve watched the movies and enjoyed the story there… and just thought I’d benefit from reading (listening) to the actual source material. It was a beautiful listen and I was constantly engaged with the story. Tatiana Maslany’s performance was beautifully done; where each character had their own unique flare and nuances. I’m looking forward to continuing the series.
