A game worthy of two reviews

For what I thought would be the first time I actually went in to write a review on an app, only to find I had already written one for this very app (maintained bellow) before. That I was that motivated to air my displeasure about a broken streak though, in itself says something about the game. It is great. The levels are progressively more challenging and so level progression feels very rewarding. To be hyper critical they could add more games to their suite but there is enough variety to keep it interesting. Note to the developers : some games become impossible to level up on because you missed reaching challenges on lower levels - or more accurately you’ve played the game from before certain game data was recorded - like my longest streak which I have never again matched by the way. If you want us to work for the level up how about leveling players down to where the challenge they haven’t recorded is a minimum requirement?*** Original review ***A great game killed by an updateHow sad to have my streak broken by an update.

Love the app. Been using the free version for over a year now. The animation and art style is appealing, the metrics are interesting and I feel like the app “works” in terms of brain training.Several reviews point out that Premium is expensive, particularly when converted to their home currency. I don’t know if I agree, not all apps require psychologists and neuroscience to develop their app’s content. The regular sales make it even more enticing and I’ve been tempted on a number of occasions.What I do hate, and hence the average rating, is in-app pop ups. It used to be a simple pop-up about Premium when you open the app. I understand that - as another review said, that’s how the developers make their money and sell their app subscriptions. I was devastated to see that they recently enabled adverts for other apps to pop up between games. I can’t stress what a vibe-killer that is and how it cheapens the experience of using this app. If you think that’s going to push myself and other users to buy Premium, you’re wrong. It’s only going to push me to find a different brain training app.
Great, but game rules not clear always

Peak is one of the best apps I’ve purchased, but when you’re chasing ‘peak’ levels of performance above 900, we need better explanations of game logic applied to scoring (per game and overall).The in-game tips or ‘how to play’ explanations could be a lot more helpful if more details of the rules of engagement were shared with users.As you rise through the ranks from beginner to legend, precision becomes more and more crucial to progress and if you don’t know exactly what you are rewarded or penalized for, how do users know what to improve on? Isn’t that the whole point?If you aren’t adding new games regularly, add more detailed help, tips and explantations to the games already included and motivated Peak users will love you for it.I’m a fan and look forward to becoming a super-fan when the ‘book of rules’ gets 2.0’d
