Broken beyond repair
I don’t know if Independent News Media have changed developers for this app, but the latest update has completely broken it. It starts up, but as soon as you click on anything, if you are not harassed with signup pop-ups, an ad takes over the screen and nothing else works. If you are lucky, you will occasionally get a message saying there has been an error with a button to try again. The button does nothing - it does not work. So all that one can do is quit the app and try again, and again, and again, and again…
Sadly, there is no other option but to go back to using the IOL website. At least that still works.
Excellent news app
One of the best news apps around in South Africa without advertisements, unlike News 24's paid version which has as many adds as news articles. IOL brings news as it happens.
