Renamed the Sonos S1 Controller, this app supports systems that include the oldest Sonos products. Systems supported by this app will continue to receive bug fixes and security patches but will not receive new software features found in the new Sonos S2 app and will not be compatible with Sonos products released after May 2020. Love the system. App is miles behind
I really enjoy the Sonos players and ease of use how they sync together. Sound quality is very good. However their App is a real disappointment considering how good the rest of the components are.
For example, I am continuously being asked to upgrade my Sonos App (on iPhone IOS) even though I have the latest version installed. It has something to do with my original system being installed on my Windows PC which needs to be updated. Why can’t the app just tell me that? And more frustrating, it limits Equalizer and Room settings until you have done this.
I also find the music and source navigation really clunky. The two year old Sonos version (which they forced us to get rid of) was waaaay better. The developers need to up their game.
What’s happened?
I love my Sonos speakers. They are my pride and joy...but, recently, since the latest update, they keep telling me that they are unable to play/connect a song or there is an “error”. This has not happened in the past. Please tell me how to rectify this.🙏 Nothing else has changed, just the update.
Great App, but needs major upgrade!
App works well in most respects, but has horrible memory retention. Every time you return to the app while music playing, it takes time to start up again, and even more time to find the WiFi network again before you can do ANYTHING! The app content does not remain live on screen and updated while you use other apps on the iPhone! A huge let down for such a premium brand and products.
