Wow! I’m not a programmer but this is brilliant for Scrivener with markdown
Georg Hofmeyr
I use Textastic on both my iPad as well as my Mac and the integration via iCloud is seamless. So, why would I, a non-programmer need a coding text editor such as Textastic? Because I design and maintain my own php website and blog and I use Scrivener to write blog posts as well as web page content. I also use Textastic to edit php hooks where necessary to customise my website.I write in markdown or MultiMarkdown, which Scrivener compiles into .html, for which I use Textastic to open (edit where necessary) and copy the HTML before pasting into WordPress text pane.Whereas Textastic for Mac does not provide a viewer / reader for markdown, It is a simple excercise to open the .md or .mmd file in the iOS app and see what the final published doc would look like.I have rated Textastic a 5, because it:- is beautifully designed - it’s keyboard on the iPad is absolutely fantastic (no pun..)- the developer continues to improve it- it works seamlessly across iCloud on Mac as well as iOSWell done Textastic- keep it up!
- Fixed: On iOS 18 and 26, underlines were not drawn in the code editor (for example, for links and email addresses in Markdown files).
