Great bank and banking app
Been using this bank and it’s app for about 2 years now and don’t really have much to complain about, it wasn’t great at first but there’s been consistent improvements, I do have some remarks
1) I would like to see a dark mode feature for the app
2) I would love to be able to log in on multiple devices and not be logged out maybe a website alternative as well
3) As with many other comments I would like to see instant payments between my bank and other banks my friends use, of course there are hurdles that monese have to jump to make this happen and I believe this will come eventually
4) An overdraft facility will be good feature to add
All these aside I plan to continue using this bank and will stick around through the changes
Dark mode support would be a big plus right now honestly

Appalling customer service, otherwise decent app
This is genuinely the worst customer service I have ever received in my entire life from any company ever. The staff are consistently unhelpful - it is obvious they never actually properly read messages, so their suggestions are often irrelevant. They then take hours in between each message to reply, making this an unnecessarily long system. It took over 5 MONTHS, no exaggeration, FIVE MONTHS for my phone number to be accurately updated in the system, so that when merchants wanted to text me to verify my purchases, I could actually receive the text instead of it going to my old phone number. And this was only because I chased and chased and chased the customer service team, and ended up having to speak to numerous individuals. I would not recommend monese under any circumstance because of this. If you have any issue you are pretty much alone and it’s incredibly frustrating. The only reason I’ve kept my account with them is because I’m a foreign citizen and couldn’t open an account with a brick and mortar bank here in the UK. However, I have recently got a Monzo card and have tried their customer service and it is so much faster, more responsive, and more helpful, so I will likely make the switch over there. Monese is absolutely horrendous.

Something funny about these reviews
I downloaded this but so many people in the first couple of pages of reviews speak about the bank closing there accounts and how customer service is absolutely terrible with responses or just fob you off to a different dept who don't answer, also for so many terrible reviews why are the stars so good so I just can't take the chance with them one bad review ok or a few but in two pages lots of the same comments about closing accounts and not getting there money back and the reply on here is always keep in contact with our service dept when the complaints are about the service dept not replying BEWARE BEWARE SOMETHING MOT RIGHT.
