So this is the one game I play consistently every day and have for years now! It has had its ups and downs, but lately it has been back to the great game I love! Even the pets has been great! The separate pet burrow locations in events are finally a nice way to play with the pet. I have just started in Greece and am loving the gameplay and graphics there. The last few events have been really cute as well and a lot of fun to play. Honestly the only thing I’m kind of getting tired of is the tower game; there just doesn’t seem to be much point to it. I won twice early on, so already got a couple outfits. I have never even gotten close to level 50 (usually I only get to level 35) where apparently something can be found in regards to the somewhat limited plot and the last photos for the last album which I can never complete. The only way you can get to level 50 or win the competition is by buying a very expensive power pack, so that’s not exactly fair! I do mostly buy the event power packs, but mostly to get the outfit and camp equipment. Also the red rings thing seems kind of pointless; most of the locations just take too much energy considering the rewards available. The one major thing I am disappointed with is the equipment available for Greece; hardly any of it is worth enough, except the 10 gods stuff, to be more than what I already have in my camp. There needs to be a bit of an adjustment there to what that stuff is worth!

I have been playing Diggy for roughly 6 years, since way back before it was an app. Recommendations from a seasoned player: play on both Facebook and the app for the best experience. Adding friends on Facebook (and then appropriately filtering them into a friend list for privacy reasons) is hands down the easiest way to advance because of gifting. The friend gifting feature is not available in the app, though a teams feature that doesn’t exist on the desktop platform was just added to the app platform, so it appears we can take advantage of both by playing both locations. Extra energy can also be obtained on the desktop platform through friends, and materials can be obtained through clicking reward links shared to the wall. The app is convenient for play during the day, but the meat of the experience is still in the desktop version in my opinion. There is a bit of a learning curve figuring out what is available in the app only, and desktop only. Each has features I like that I wish would be added to the other.Stuck on a puzzle? There are many resources available! There is a game wiki, there are many Facebook groups dedicated to helping fellow diggers solve problems! Sure some people spend money, and that is good because the developers are constantly adding new fun events and content. I spent money on the game in my early days, but feel I spent enough to have paid for the game, and haven’t spent in a while. If you are going to spend though, the best value is directly through the Pixel Federation website.

Upon starting the game the first couple of levels in Egypt were easy. I had to figure out what I could actually dig at and what would be revealed (blocks, sand, plants, etc). It got a little trickier thinking I was done a level but I had to find the hidden chamber "flashing green door" and realize and I had to clear another entire floor! The trickiest one I encountered was The Riddle Of The Vault. I just now completed it with clearing the entire floor except for the right side small area. Moving the colored stones around was quite an achievement because it all depends on if you are in front of the stone or in back of the stone when your are pushing it towards your goal and if you're not in the right position your stuck with no where to turn around. Anyway, I am really loving this game. I wish I had understood though the Energy and Energy Capacity area as I would have acquired Energy Capacity first and acquire a high total and then start storing up the energy. I had to think a bit on the Domino floor and the chess took me for a loop too. One thing I don't like is, is that it takes too much lumber to acquire energy items etc. right now I'm at level 44 and I started about 3 weeks ago. I like this game so far and from what I hear I should start acquiring more energy for higher levels to come. I also think when buying consumables and energy items for your inventory they should be in Energy size order from lowest to highest instead of scrolling through the items to see which has the highest energy or energy capacity. I give it five thumbs up so far. Oh yeah, the gem rings for needed keys are too high in price. Other than that, I'll keep digging along! Janeen

I’ve been playing this game for many years, currently working my way through mars. Today, some idiot decided they were going to introduce random ads that don’t give any reward. Then, they offer to stop these random ads forever if you make a purchase. Well, I don’t like being blackmailed into spending money on a game. If they don’t rethink this poorly thought out plan to force people to spend money, I will abandon this game and they will lose all the ad revenue from the ads that serve a purpose and provide rewards. It’s bad enough there are blocks that cost 320,000 energy to collect on mars. This will be the final straw to make me delete this game. I will wait a few days to see if they change their tune, but if they refuse to drop this I’ll advised scheme, then I will be done with this game.Edit: No, these new ads are not optional and they don’t give anything. It demands you make a purchase to make them stop. When I run out of energy and tap to go back to the camp to make sure it saves my progress, an ad pops up. There is no reward and it can’t be skipped. This practice is so incredibly greedy and anti-consumer it’s unbelievable that anyone thought it was a good idea. I’ll watch ads to receive rewards, but this is just nothing but greed. The fact that the person who responded to my review talked like they didn’t know what I was talking about says a lot about communication within the company.
