so really long time ago i downloaded this game because people were talking about it online and it was more of just a joke, since the app was kinda goofy so i downloaded it. i mean it’s great for younger kids/toddlers because it’s not like over complicated and it has lots of numbers and letters in the app that they can play around with. but i think it’s a little weird to have camera and microphone access. especially since this games intended audience is like 2-5. like some people might download this for their young children and leave them with the app to play with but right when opening the app it will ask for your camera and microphone access to see and listen to you. a 2-5 year old won’t really know what allowing camera and microphone access can do, so they could click yes and the app would be able to see and listen to them the whole entire time they are playing with the app. it also kind of weird because the app is just tapping numbers that allows you to call animals for fun, so why would they need camera and microphone access enabled in order to do that? especially since it’s just an image of a random animal every time and random gibberish for 5 seconds and it hangs up. there’s not really any reason it needs to see and listen to a young child. 😬 but i guess as long as you disable it the game is fine overall.

Hi! We appreciate your interest in our baby phone and would like to clarify that the camera feature is utilized solely to simulate a realistic video call within the app, allowing children to engage with our content in a more immersive way. Please rest assured that no videos or images are recorded, stored, or transmitted during this process.

EDIT: even though I didn’t allow access, it still had access. “We don’t record” okay but you guys are creeps who still watch live. Why is their response to this issue always the same? If people were saying there’s a creepy dude or person talking to their kids or that the app is glitching and allowing their camera/microphone to be accessed, wouldn’t you guys be more horrified and begin actively launching an investigation to secure your network or something? Nope, because you guys already know because you’re in on it. Obviously. So gross and ya’ll should be ashamed. This app is so, so creepy. I had a weird gut feeling when I downloaded it that it was so weird after asking for microphone and camera access. I said “no.” But then after I got done with the app I looked up and noticed the red dot in the top right of my screen, indicating that the microphone was being accessed! I even closed out of the app and double checked my status and it says the app is not allowed to access my microphone and it still did. Only Duolingo is allowed to access my microphone, and when I tried to see what app it was it said “unknown.” Well I deleted the app and now it’s gone. No more microphone usage. This app is super creepy, I can’t even imagine what someone is doing with video/sounds of our children! Please don’t download this app! Download a fluid simulator or something for babies and for older children use a reputable source like one of those very advertised and used in schools programs.

Overall it is a nice application. The problem is that it tries to become a game. When I, like a parent, downloading this for a child, I expect that the child will “call” imagine friends and talk to them. This app when the “call” button is pressed, shows some funny picture for 10 seconds and “drops” the call. So a child cannot say anything. When kids play with any random thing imagining it is a phone, they spend many minutes talking. This app cannot even provide the same experience as a printed picture because a child is pretty sure that the call is ended and there’s no sense to speak.Instead, the app suggests some kind of a gaming experience. But I don’t need yet another primitive game, there are millions of them in AppStore. I want my kids to simulate a real talk from the real world, not to look at the screen all the time with no brain activity.
This update focuses on boosting app stability and addressing bugs, ensuring a better experience for both children and parents. Thank you for choosing Bimi Boo!
