What our users are saying?

"Best weather app!
I absolutely love this weather app! It alerts me when it’s going to rain, has an easy to view radar map on the home screen and is extremely easy to navigate through. I would choose this app over Accuweather, which I have used for years!" - Bchan80.

"Super accurate weather app
This is the coolest weather app. The data is the lost accurate and precise by far. Better weather prediction and user interface than Dark Sky. If you really want to get accurate weather, check out Climacell." - Markymark7419

"Accurate and easy!
Love this app! It’s a game changer. So much more accurate down to the minute, for example I’m an avid biker and motorcycle rider, knowing when and where the rain will come with this level of precision is awesome." - RBrider65

Great design, and the app is very useful.

I love ClimaCell, it’s helpful. I’m in love with Portland, Maine, therefore I love looking at things about the city and the weather is one of those things, and ClimaCell allows me to do that very easily.

ClimaCell is also very user-friendly, which is always good for people like me where you have to have nice UIs. It’s very sleek and materialistic, if that makes any sense whatsoever.

The features in ClimaCell are very minimum, but all of the needed and core features are there. I like how there are absolutely no ads, as they just clutter up apps, make them slower, and make them harder to use. And I also love how you don’t need some paid plan to do basically everything, which sadly is the case with most apps, and especially the case with weather apps nowadays.

Activities Feature Needs to Show Day/Date

For forecasting the weather, I find this app to be no better and no worse than the rest of the lot. The alerts about upcoming rain sometimes come in time, some times come after it’s obviously raining, and sometimes don’t come at all. Watching the weather radar - with any app - is still the only reliable forecast for me. It would rate about 4 stars.

But, the “Activities” feature _could_ be really useful _if_ one could readily see what date was being analyzed. One ought to be able to quickly scroll to the next “good” or “acceptable” time and know what day and time it is. Instead, you have to move slowly from the present hour, and keep an eye on every time slot of every day, noting when the day changes in order to count how many days ahead. Not easy. Not intuitive. Not useful as is. On Wednesday it shouldn’t be so hard to figure out if the next “acceptable” conditions are really on Friday or is that Saturday?

This annoys me every single time I use the app. It would seem the fix is pretty easy. If this gets fixed I’ll revise the review.

Best around, but I hesitate

So clima-cell dislodged the weather channel app as my favorite weather app. It does seem to be the best weather app around for day to day forecasts, for tightly localized areas. I live in northern Colorado and I’m a daily motorcycle rider so I need a dependable accurate forecast. If I get caught in a snowstorm it could go badly for me.

Climacell gives you the ability to tightly localize your weather area and that is one of its advantages over other weather apps. For example I have one locale for home and one for my office, they’re separated by about 12 miles. They differ, sometimes significantly, like snow/no snow and perhaps as much as 10 degrees.

I’m no the kind of reviewer that gives out many 5 star ratings, so a 4 star from me is what would probably garner 5 from someone else. I mean, 5 stars means perfect, nothing could be improved on in the app. So I hesitate to give anything 5 stars, even a weather app as good as this one can be improved on, but it is the best around right now.

Developer Response ,

Hi Max, Thank you for the in-depth review.
We would be happy to hear what would it take to get to perfect :)
That's our mission, nothing less !
