The Daily Readings app offers an easy way to access the day's Scripture readings, saints, and fasting guidelines as prescribed by the Lectionary of the Greek Orthodox Church. Now there are even more features to enhance your experience: Content: * View the fasting guidelines, readings, and saints of the day. * Time sensitive prayers on the main page help you pray throughout the day. * Search for your favorite saint or feast any time during the year. * Quickly look up movable feasts based on the date of Pascha. * Lookup definitions of Orthodox words * Read a selection of Orthodox Prayers. * Live Services of parishes across the United States of America. Usability: * Reminders to read the Epistle and Gospel for the day facilitate personal Bible reading. * Viewing both the content and the app interface in your choice of English, Greek, or Arabic. * Orientation changing. * Font size and face options for readings. * Easily share readings with friends and family! * Swipe on the main page to go to the next date. * Swipe between readings to go the next one. * iPhone and iPad "reader" modes. This app follows the typikon and lectionary of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Wonderful App Needs Some Minor Revision

This is a wonderful app which in the short time I’ve had it has already helped me on my spiritual journey. I would give 5 stars, however some references to God are not capitalized. For example in the Another Mealtime Prayer there is a “His” that was written as “his” in reference to God. I’ve only had this app a very short period of time so maybe that’s the only issue, but also maybe there are more instances of minor errors like that. Thank you for making this app!

I’ve been looking at this app daily, especially finding the listing of the daily Saints very useful. However the biographies are sketchy, so I must look up the biographies elsewhere. Even though the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is a sister church under the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the app assists in Moscow Patriarchate genocide by failing to point out the most of the “Russian” saints were born in Ukraine and spoke the Rus’ Ukrainian language, unintelligible with modern Russian. This leads people to the OCA site, which is even more Kremlin KGB “Church Aboard” influenced. Seeing the lie that St. Tikhon was the “Enlightener of America” makes me ill, as convincing Carpatho Rusyns to despise their own language and heritage was very evil. No other Orthodox Church does this. St. Tikhon was a martyr, despite dutifully serving the Kremlin, like so many useful idiots. Also, on my iPad, the Prayers button and many others won’t open. So I urge all to donate $ for development of this app.

I love this app and use it all the time and I love the ability add prayers into it that I want to always have on me. My one issue is that as you add longer prayers you are unable to scroll through it as you add it, I found the best way to go around this is to use the notes app and put the entire prayer there first and then copy and paste it. Other than, that it’s a fantastic resource for any Orthodox Christian

I am using the app for about 2 weeks now and I love it! I chose this version versus the free lite version because I wanted to read in Greek. Personally I prefer to pray in Greek rather than in English even though I have lived in US for most of my life.My only suggestion is that the daily prayers to be translated in Greek as well (just like the Bible exerts, the biographies of Saints and the fasting guidance). Thanks for your consideration!

- Made left pane button always visible in portrait orientation on older versions of iPadOS - Fixed crashes that could occur when tapping a Readings saint or a Live Services item In 1.7.1: - "Show left-pane" button now consistently visible when iPad is in portrait orientation - We do not need a "migrate your prayers" option on Prayers tab until new app is available In 1.7: - Enables "announcements" so you can receive timely notices about migrating to the upcoming rewrite of the app

Version 1.7.2 Oct 9
