Overall I would say this app is fun and easy, but the ads are a bit misleading. They say that it is “ad-free”, but after playing several games, you will get an ad after each game you complete. A developer response to a different review says that the “ad-free” means that there are no pop up ads in the middle of gameplay. Despite this, the game is good and the ads are easily closed, so it’s not a big deal, and I recommend this app for those who like solitaire or want a fun, simple game to pass the time.

This is an update to my original review - the developer seems to have fixed the bug that was originally noted, which I appreciate. That being said, I have paid a fee, not once but TWICE, for an ad-free version of this app. I understand that ads help the developer make a profit, but so does charging a fee to eliminate them! If you are going to charge a fee, please have the integrity to honor this extra purchase and remove the adds.*********************************************After using the Vita Majong app for some time and really enjoying it, I decided to purchase the ad-free version of Vita Solitaire a few days ago for a little more variety. This app is fun and easy to use — I like the larger sized cards because they’re easy to see, and the smaller side contests that let you gather letters while you’re playing solitaire to earn extra rewards are fun. Now for the reason I’m only giving this app three stars. When you decide to play through the different levels of an optional side journey, that’s when the trouble begins. At the first failed solitaire game, when you tap on the “new game” option, an error message pops up that indicates this version of the game is outdated and about to expire, and your only option to exit the screen is to tap on the provided bar to continue. As soon as you do this you’re launched into a new screen prompting you to get a new solitaire app by an entirely different developer. Whether it’s a glitch or the app has been hijacked, that’s the end of your solitaire fun.

Have to start a new game.

I really loved this game until about a week ago. Now, out of about every 3 or 4 games, you have to start a new game because you can’t finish. So it comes up saying start a new game. I am getting really aggravated and want to delete it. I am trying hard not to because it is or was my favorite game. I love everything about this game but having to start a new game.Well I just deleted it because out of 3 games this morning, it had me start 2 new games because there were no more moves to make. This is totally ridiculous that I can’t even play a couple of games without having to start a new one. I don’t know what you did, but you have changed it and made it much harder than it should be. It really upsets me because I loved this game and now it just irritates me.

Malicious sites embedded in game

I love playing this game to relax at night. However, I often get notifications from my ActiveArmor Mobile Security that it blocked a malicious site while I’m playing and I’m not intentionally pressing on anything on the game other than the cards. Also, when I do not have my VPN turned on, I often would be taken to a still Candy Crush screen while playing, which does not happen when VPN is turned on. Which makes me assume that the Candy Crush screen is the malicious site, because I do not get that screen when VPN is on. Be careful and have your device protected to keep your device safe when playing.
