Just share what's on your mind, and discover what you're actually feeling.
Share Your Story, Discover Your Emotions
Open Heartspring, start writing or press record, and let your thoughts flow. Type about your day, vent about what's bothering you, or talk through what happened, however you express yourself best. Heartspring surfaces the emotions present in your words from a vocabulary of nearly 100. The feelings you couldn't name? Heartspring names them for you.
Your Emotions, Revealed
Heartspring shows you the emotions underneath. Not just "happy" or "sad," but the real nuance: resentment buried under frustration, hope hiding behind anxiety, tenderness you almost missed. Your entries are organized by the topics you shared and how each one made you feel.
Reflection Prompts That Go Deeper
Add the Heartspring widget to your Home Screen and your emotions will find you.New reflection prompt appear based on what you shared and the feelings we surfaced. Not "how are you feeling today?" but a question only your journal could ask, because it actually knows.
Build Your Emotional Memory
We remember what we did. We rarely remember how we felt. Every entry builds a searchable emotional history, a living record of your inner life. Look back and see when certain emotions show up, what triggers them, and how they evolve. This is emotional intelligence, built one entry at a time.
Journal Your Way
Write, record video, or add photos, whatever feels right. Track your streak, revisit past entries, and watch your self-awareness grow.
Membership
With the Heartspring Membership, unlock the full power of your emotional journey. Record video journal entries to capture the full depth of how you feel, search your entire journal by emotion, topic, or keyword, and access your complete emotion history to discover long-term patterns. i never write reviews. NEVER. this app has been beyond cathartic and helpful for me. I love the captions, the vlog style, and the analysis features (that i’m supposed to see tomorrow). anyways, if you’re the kind of person who talks yourself into a hole and solves your own problems because of it this app is so helpful. however, it’s not perfect. sometimes it crashes, won’t let me edit my name/information, and i think it has a lot of room to grow. i don’t want this to become one of those self help apps with a gazillion useless features though. the simplicity makes it so good. even so, i think the tag feature could use some adjustments (make more/customizable tags), maybe more accurate captions if possible, and if you’re going to go the AI route, maybe more features related to that? i don’t want an ai therapist, but the “mood analysis” type things seem to have a lot of potential! especially the customized notifications. after journaling, it sent me a notification saying something along the lines of “it looks like you’ve had a hard day.” that was amazing!!! i love that kind of thing where AI isn’t so intimate but can still play a personal role in making this app and experience feel human. i’m saying this because the developer seems very receptive. all in all, best app i’ve downloaded in a while! :) it would also be nice to have a one time purchase option for getting premium features. i think it would be more appealing than subscription based stuff. i also would like to not have a word limit or at least be able to do more than one journal a day.
Love Talkbook!!

So I was skeptical at first because of the lack of reviews on this app, so I figured I’d help with that and leave my own review.I’ve had this app for a few days now and I absolutely love it! It’s so easy to use and exactly like it was advertised to me (on TikTok). I have two little things to say about the recording part, but other than these things (which are fully understandable and reasonable lol) the app has been amazing so far!1. You can only record a certain limit for your entry (like how long your entry can be), but it is a decent length.2. You only get one entry a day, but if you get premium, you can record up to 4 times a day.The captions are sometimes a bit off, but that’s to be expected with all kinds of voice dictating things, especially with background noise, just like how text-to-speech is in messaging. However, you can play your entry when you’ve finished recording and easily edit your text before you save your video. Also, I love how the app automatically trims the moments where you’re quiet or thinking of what to say, which keeps the videos short and sweet! So far this app has been really nice for me and I love mini vlogging every day <3

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review! We’re so glad to hear you’re loving the app and that it’s been a great fit for you so far. We truly appreciate your feedback about the recording limits and captions, and we’re always looking for ways to improve. Thanks for being an early supporter of Talkbook.
I like this! Mostly..

I think this app is cute and straight to the point. My new years resolution was to journal more and this app is literally perfect for that. You can record up to ~800 words (maybe more I forgot) per prompt. If you want to record several times per day though, that’s premium which isn’t a big deal to me. It has like a AI feature that looks at your entry and recommends tips or encouragement and etc which I was skeptical of but it’s actually turned out to be a good feature in my option. I have some things that should definitely be fixed 1. Oh my god this app does get buggy sometime and it can be annoying. Maybe you’ll have to close it and reopen sometimes when recording, or sometimes when I just try to open it, it lags and doesn’t let me click anything when I open OR it just won’t open. Thankfully it doesn’t lag THAT MUCH for me but it does happen. Still a good app.2. I really wish I could see more customization features in the future! It’s all black and boring and that would be kinda cool if there was maybe different backgrounds or something!!
Developer Response
We’re working on fixing the bugs to make the app smoother, and we love the idea of adding more customization. Stay tuned!
LOVE, but…

This has made journaling so much easier because I can just talk it all out. I don’t have to sit down and try to write. I can just say what’s on my mind like I am talking to a friend. It honestly helps me process what’s going on so much better than writing. I have two things that I don’t like. I wish I could edit the text after I did the journal. Sometimes I’m in a rush and want to get the entry in but don’t have the time to edit the transcript. And I wish I could do more than 3 entries. Some days are just one entry days. Other days there’s just so much going on that I feel like 4500 words just is not enough. And today happens to be one of those days. I reached the word limit for journal entry number one this morning at 8 AM. And there is going to be so much more happening today that I just don’t think that three is enough. And because there’s so much happening that I need to get out that’s another reason I wish that I could go back and edit the transcript afterwards. Also wish there was a 2x speed for the video playback. That would be really nice.
Developer Response
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We totally get the struggle of wanting to get everything out without the time crunch. We’re actively working on improving the ability for longer video entries, and we hear you on that!We also love the 2x playback idea, and it’s definitely something we’re considering. And we totally understand how you’d want to edit the transcript after the fact. This is also something we are taking a look at. Thanks again for sharing your feedback, we’re always working on making the journaling experience even better, so don't hesitate to reach out if you have more ideas or feedback.
