Don’t buy upgrades for your flight

I’m tall and I barely fit in the regular seats. For long flights I have to pay extra for the leg room.I paid 53 dlls to move to a premium seat and I learned that if I waited I would’ve paid 20 dlls if the flight attendant did change of seat done.The app works well and it makes the check in process easier. Kudos to volaris for getting that right!

Scan passport fails, no alternative

I physically cannot believe how poorly engineered everything about this company is. The “new and improved app” doesn’t open the camera for the scan passport, the screen just stays black! Oh no worries though you can enter them in manually. OH WAIT! You can’t!!! Can’t do anything manually in the app, lets go through a browser online to check in then. OH WAIT YOU CANT! You need to use their amazing app that held together by two pieces of tape and feels like an intern vibe coded the whole thing over the summer. And on top of that the last time I flew I showed up to the airport and the flight was delayed 4 hours, was that status updated on the app? NOPE on time for my departure while I sit in the terminal 2 hours after what a joke. If it wasn’t my only option I would never willing fly this

This has been a horrific experience. I bought a ticket months in advance, I was flying to La Paz originally from Houston, when I got to the counter they told me that by law they could sell 25% more tickets than available so they had double sold my ticket and I had no seat anymore. This was such an inconvenience, I didn’t know anyone in town and they offered a very low budget lunch and dinner, which they said I could only take at the airport. The people from the counter had zero empathy, and were quite rude and oblivious to my situation, as well as the other passengers who were left in town because they also sold their tickets. AVOID AT ALL COST! A few bucks is not worth the stress and horrible service.
Oversold my flight and left a bunch of us to take next available flight, which was 24 hours later

Not sure why this airline offers a check-in service through their app when they don’t actually allow passengers to check in before the flight. I had to go to the airport, wait in a three-hour line, only to be told the flight was overbooked and my seat had been given away because I hadn’t checked in on the app. While waiting, several other frustrated passengers mentioned this had happened to them before. It feels far too convenient—almost like a scheme to profit from overbooking. Why even offer an app if it doesn’t work as intended? Truly a scam of an airline.
