Pause and rewind live TV Live channels from Xtream accounts and M3U playlists now buffer up to the last hour on your device, so you can pause, rewind and jump back to live on more channels. The programme bar shades how far back you can go, and a programme you're catching up on while it's still airing shows in full with a marker where live is. Your most-played channels first Channels you play most now rise to the top of each category for Xtream and M3U sources, and the order follows you across your devices through iCloud. Prefer your provider's order? Turn off Most-Played Channels First in Settings. Closed captions on more channels Channels that carry closed captions in their video now offer them in the caption menu. Smoother playback - Channels recover faster when your provider is slow to send the next part of a stream, with fewer pauses and less missed video. - Channels with long stream segments no longer stall. - If a channel can't be prepared on your device, neTV plays it directly instead. Easier setup Provider setup links now open neTV with your details filled in, ready for you to connect. Apple TV Player buttons stay easy to read when selected.

What's New in neTV 1.7 Multiple providers • Save several neTV servers, Xtream accounts and M3U playlists, and switch between them in Settings. Each keeps its own categories and favorites. • Signing in is easier: the provider type is now a clear "Provider" row. If you pick the wrong type, neTV works out the right one, and you can paste a playlist link without a username or password. Programme guide • Very large guides from big providers now load, using far less memory. • The first load of a new provider shows its download progress, and later launches skip the download when the guide hasn't changed. HEVC channels • HEVC channels start much faster and play more smoothly. • HEVC channels from Xtream providers that played sound only now show the picture. Playback • Opening Settings no longer stops the channel you're watching. • Clearer messages when a channel is offline or your provider refuses the stream, for example at its connection limit. • iPhone: Fill Screen has its own icon and no longer overlaps the Full Screen button.

New - Favorites: star any channel to add it to Favorites, now at the top of your categories. On iPhone, tap the star on a channel. On Mac, click the star or right-click a programme. On Apple TV, press and hold a programme. Favorites stay visible even when their category is hidden. - More M3U playlists play: channels that send a raw MPEG-TS stream, common with many IPTV providers, now play directly in neTV. - HEVC and Dolby audio: HEVC (H.265) channels now play with picture, not just sound. Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus audio, including 5.1, now play on those channels. - TV guide for Xtream and M3U: programme listings now load from your provider's guide feed and refresh automatically every 30 minutes. Browse Earlier, Now and Later, up to 7 days ahead and back through up to 3 days of past listings. - Fill Screen on iPhone: tap the new button in the player, or pinch, to fill the screen instead of showing black bars. neTV remembers your choice. - Choose your categories: in Settings → Categories, pick which categories appear in the guide, with Select All and Hide All. - neTV Backend for direct sources: connect an Xtream or M3U source to your neTV server to use its playlists, allowed categories and guide, while video keeps playing straight from your provider.
