As soon as I placed the booking, the rider arrived quickly, picked up my item, and delivered it smoothly. I could track everything with live location updates, which made the whole process very easy and stress-free. The service is genuinely very good and outstanding. I use this app because I have no alternative. The only other option is Careem, where the prices are twice as high. That’s the main reason I use Porter—I use it and cry. I rely on delivery apps for my business, and my clients pay for delivery together with their order because it’s inconvenient to pay for delivery separately in cash (who even uses cash in 2025?).Firstly, the ridiculous option of online payment only upon arrival forces you to stay glued to the app and constantly monitor the situation to ensure the driver doesn’t ask the customer for cash. This has happened to me a couple of times, and it ruined the customer’s experience with my business, leading to negative reviews, all because of Porter. Please allow users to link their card and make online payments seamlessly.Secondly, the support service, which can only be reached by phone, is quick to respond, and I understand this might be helpful in urgent cases. However, all the operators speak with a strong Indian accent (no offense intended—this is not about racism, but it’s genuinely one of the hardest accents to understand). For Dubai, where people from so many nationalities live, please add an online chat option.

He came to pick up a package and left, I made a mistake I gave the wrong address not a big thing the correct address was just around the corner he calls me first and tell me he will leave the food outside the door, I tell him no you can’t do that he tells me he has been waiting for a hour which is a lie. When he got to the customer he told the customer he will not give the food until the payment is made then the customer call me and tell me he is saying he will call the police if I don’t make the payment. Then customer service call me the first time because I raised a complaint, as I am talking with customer service he shouts over me on a call. The customer service person did not even say anything she just left him to speak to me in such a disrespectful manner. Then the customer service lady tells me someone will call me back. They called me back not saying hello nothing no manners just “Are you auditable “ ? I said hi! Hello and then they put the phone down what is this. Do these people understand that they are working with people I’m your customer regardless if I gave the wrong address it does not give you the right to speak to me in a rude manner and then disrespecting and THREATENING my customer by SAYING I WILL CALL THE POLICE.

Firstly the app will start off with a first time offer for using their truck services and it’s an economical option which was the main reason I was even open to trying the app. And then you use the app and the delivery driver comes and without any transparency demands a 100AED extra charge, plus having to go through the customer service line multiple times until you finally heard that, oh it’s labour charges for loading and unloading. The lack of transparency is disgusting and absolutely horrendous for a company like this, if there is such a charge just inform the service buyer, so they can make an informed choice and not just be blindsided at the last minute and feel scammed by absolutely scummy behavior. And then once the delivery was done we come to find out that the charges on the app was not even included in that 100AED, while the app said 44AED the final result was, last minute pressure forcing us to make a choice, practically extortion, being forced to pay beyond what we had planned to pay, and a genuinely scummy feeling. To anyone using this service, check 10 times before you do anything because, if the result is you losing money when you shouldn’t have to, it’s really not worth it.
