Why was the drag-and-drop feature removed from the iPhone’s file transfer options, specifically for sending files and images via WhatsApp or email?
Please fix FORCE backup
sobher
One major concern with OneDrive’s file management system is that accidental deletion of a file from either the cloud or the local device can permanently remove it from both places due to the dual-sync behavior, which feels quite risky and stressful for users trying to manage important files safely.I have tried multiple times to avoid backing up my data and photos to OneDrive because of the dual-sync process, yet it still keeps pushing users toward backup and feels intrusive to privacy. Since I had no proper option to disable this behavior, I ended up uninstalling OneDrive, which came pre-installed with Windows on my laptop. I was finding my personal photos uploaded across OneDrive without intentionally choosing to back them up.If OneDrive offered a true one-way sync or upload-only option, instead of constantly forcing backup integration, it would make the service far more comfortable and practical for many customers to use.
More Fluid and Feature Complete Photos Tab
mmadine
The service and syncing features are superior to other providers at a more compelling price point.I would love to see a more fluid Photos tab that can display all the basic features (metadata, vertically-inverted view, less steps to share as photo and not a link…) before the other AI-based features like suggested albums or “on this day”.Other features that I would love to see: Ability to select which folders end up in the Photos tab, make sure that there is a size-optimized offline version of all photos, a better looking (maybe iOS’s default) video player, ability select multiple photos with a single swipe or a two finger gesture, periodically scan for duplicates and suggest to delete the lower quality set, ability to search for people objects text in online and offline modes.I can see how adding more features specific to the Photos tab might make the app sluggish and more power consuming. If these features end up in a separate app (OneDrive Photos) I would be more than willing to download and use such an app.Thank you for the fantastic solution you provide.
One drive doesn’t work with IOS11 Files
Muwahid
Great App but horrible support. Countless users have complained about the issue of one drive not working on ios11 new files system. OneDrive is showing as one of the locations in the app but when I tap it, instead of opening showing folders within the app it instead enables a pop up with all the files in my OneDrive. The problem with this is that I cannot manipulate the files within the app or do functions like adding tags to the files. I have been waiting eagerly for an update to fix this issue and there has been absolutely no support from Microsoft nor a single comment on when this will be rectified or if it ever will be.Microsoft advertises the following:“Today, Apple announced the new Files app at WWDC for iOS 11, and we are excited to announce support for the new app and its file management capabilities. OneDrive integration with the Files app will make it easier for you to access your content from any Apple device and will provide a better file management experience on iOS for your personal and work OneDrive and SharePoint sites. We will share more details when iOS 11 releases.”—The OneDrive teamIt is the 25th of October 2017 and you have released at least 7 updates since the releae of IOS 11 and still no sign that anyone from the OneDrive team seems to care about this. It's insanity to me that Microsoft hasn't updated the OneDrive for iOS app to work with the iOS 11 Files app yet. I thought Microsoft was serious about mobile. If this isn't going to be rectified by the next update then I guess ill be switching back my business to dropbox.Regards[kindly note that the above statements are just a few of the many users complaining about this issue on the Microsoft community/reddit/OneDrive customer support forums and all paraphrased into one paragraph for the purpose of hoping that this gets taken more seriously by Microsoft]
This update contains bug fixes and stability improvements.
