I have been shopping this store 2-3 times a week for several years. I had quit shopping here for a while because a new manager came in and on my first encounter with her, she accused me of stealing. I carry a messenger bag with me all the time. She told me I would have to take it back to my car or leave it with her. I told her the reason I don’t leave it in the car is the same reason she was so aggressive with her accusations, this is a rough neighborhood. She also told me she would NOT be responsible for it if I left it with her. Did I mention the messenger bag in question is a $2000 Louis Vuitton bag? This experience made me switch to another Family Dollar. I shopped that one for a few months until I walked in one day and there she was. She had transferred. I saw her and walked right back out. I can finally go back to MY store. It was a good day. Since then, everything has been perfect in my local store. I recently opened a business in the same shopping center so now we’re all neighbors. Jeffery is the greatest salesperson. He always warmly greets me and is the sole reason I have the Family Dollar app on my phone. I LOVE everyone employed at this location. Trista is fantastic. If these employees get any better, I might have to start recruiting. Of course then, that horrible woman might come back and I can’t have that. Looks like your employees are safe for now. I can’t say enough about this location. This group of employees truly makes my life easier and for that, I am eternally grateful. Keep up the good work East Ridge!Sincerely-Luke Stewart

I would have given Family Dollar 5 stars but the location nearest to me is AWFUL, actually that’s a compliment. It’s so ran down and has been for going on 20 years now. The store has had ZERO updates & no renovations & is SUPER tiny. I understand they don’t own the building but after 20+ years in that location, don’t you think it’s time for them to get a newer, BIGGER location? There’s options for them in this neighborhood if they were interested. The store has even had to close in the past from being over ran with rats.. yes I said RATS! The grocery store they were connected too went out of business and left food behind & it became infested with rats. With nothing but a wall between them, of course they made there to FD as well. So not their fault at all! Now with all that said, they stay stocked the best they can when literally the whole store is only a couple hundred sq ft. They have a lot of variety and ALWAYS have what I’m looking for, when the other stores in the area just don’t. It helps a lot that the staff is friendly as well, I know they’re doing the best they can & I appreciate them for that!

The Family dollar in Adairsville Ga. is amazing! Those ladies are wonderful, they are always willing to go out of their way to help you find things and they ALWAYS have a kind word to say!!! That is why I will drive 35-40 min out of my way and drive past the family dollar in my own town to go there.However, the family dollar in Cartersville has the rudest staff of people I have ever encountered. And the worst one is the person you hired to represent your company. Beth and I have had several encounters that have been less than civil!! She has accused me directly in front of other customers of try to return items that did not belong to your store, when in fact I had proof of my purchase, but I did grab the wrong item out of my car, I just needed to switch them and she would have seen my mistake and HERS! But instead she was yelling and making a seen and told me and my 5yr old child that we”better NEVER” come back in her store and she was calling ALL the stores around the area to warn them about me. This is not the only bad incident or encounter we have had with her, I have called and emailed your corporate more than once and NEVER once did I get a response. So now if there is anything I really want or need from your store I will drive to the Adairsville store.

I am visiting the Family Dollar app for the first time in years. I have been using the Dollar general app and now I see why I prefer DG instead of FD. In all of the years that I have not used the FD app, I was hoping that there was some improvement. The DG app is ultra convenient as it allows you to create a shopping LIST of the items that you intend to purchase at the store. When making your list, the DG app also applies all of the coupons that you have clipped and shows you exactly what you’ll be paying at the store. This feature is ultra convenient as times are hard and mostly everyone needs to stick to a certain budget. You’ll have no worries of being embarrassed at the checkout counter because you THOUGHT you’d be paying less for an item due to having a coupon, no thanks Family Dollar. I will stick with Dollar General. Please upgrade your app. Dollar Tree app is designed the same way as DG, and from my understanding Family Dollar and Dollar Tree are under the same umbrella. There is no reason for the Family Dollar app not to have more convenient features on their app. The only Pro of the Family Dollar is that it allows you to “unclip” coupons. Dollar General app does not allow you to unclip coupons if you find a better one.
