Pros: Love the app. Finally something different from traditional sports betting. The best part is anyone can win hundreds or even thousands of dollars with $10 or less. If you get really good you can make a legit living off just this app and make more than enough to pay your bills and quit your job. ( I don’t recommend doing that, but some people are just that good and make millions.) You can bet on ANYTHING, not just sports. So if you’re good with politics or economics, even the weather, you can make money. Cons: Very addicting, you can lose money fast, sometimes it feels like they rig certain bets although it’s highly illegal so they most likely don’t, but when you lose a bet that has an 80% win rate, it can definitely feel that way. The new interface after the update…I hate both the way the app looks and feels, the old one was so much easier to understand, and navigate. I got used to the old one already, then they change everything around, and from the people I know that use the app, I’m not the only one that thinks that, many feel the same way. Please go back to the way the app was before this update ! 🙏🏻If you got a few bucks to spare, and wanna try to win some money I highly recommend this app. If your addicted to gambling, stay FAR, FAR AWAY! Anyways, this is my new favorite app to make money for like a side hustle where I can make legit money and a significant amount, not just a couple bucks here and there, just go back to the old layout and interface, PLEAASSEEE!!!

Kalshi hosts such a fun and legit market. It’s generally easy to use and absolutely worth a try. Unfortunately every update seems to make the app worse, mostly with awful UI choices that feel like they’re targeted at making users struggle more. Within the last month, you can fit significantly less information on your screen. Features such as the easy to understand profit that updates live such as simply saying 100->156 is now pushed onto a separate screen rather than on the live score page. This is the biggest downside recently, as it takes away a lot of confidence to place bets when you can’t see the live percentages, score, graph, and profits all on the same page anymore. In sports, the teams you’re betting on seem to be intentionally listed out of order at every chance they get. Jets @ Bears in the title and maybe on the scoreboard too, then the buttons to bet are listed as Bears first then Jets. These inconsistencies are everywhere. Some categories don’t get a lot of love. Tennis commonly has matches simply never appear. And the recent cherry on top to bad updates, is that the percentages are almost never accurate to each other on screen. The graph might show Jets 37% and Bears 63%, while the buttons show Jets 56% and Bears 56% commonly not equalling 100%.

Would be great to have a feature that can detect if a phone dies, loses signal, or the connection fails, etc, right after a bet is placed, (say within 30 seconds) the bet is cancelled and funds returned to wallet. Just a thought. Would have saved me from a panic attack this morning.My phone, a 1 year old iPhone 16e (garbage phone, do not buy) has poor genetics, and inherited battery health issues. It demands being plugged in 24/7 or it will shut off after 30 seconds, go from the 100% to 10% when rebooted, and repeat. I bet on 15min BTC market, and often I will make a bet and cash out rather quickly, before the round ends. I lost all my money this morning after getting in, holding probably 20-30 seconds, and as I go to cash out my phone dies at the exact moment. There was only roughly <2 minutes left, which is how long it took me to plug in and turn my phone back on. Towards the end of the remaining time the outcome had flipped. I intended to cash out 1+ minutes before that even happened. I, honest to god, was going to withdraw half the money in my walllet right after the bet too to pay bills that are due today. Now I’m screwed.

At first it was great app ran smooth, nothing ever lagged was easy to make money. Then after like 20k in profits, my phone started to overheat anytime I would open Kalshi, I would literally have to delete the app sometimes and re download it in the middle of a game because it would just Brick my phone. I thought maybe just coincidence, then it started to happen that when I was up on a bet, and wanted to get out it would just tell me that the odds had changed and to re submit my order over and over, and then sit there “processing” when I would submit an order to exit a bet when I was up a little bit thinking the game was about to flip. Too many coincidences to not feel like at this point it’s almost forcing me to lose on bets by not letting me exit by cashing out. And next thing you know I’m losing money and oh now it will let my order to cash out go through! Haha what?!? So I can’t cash out when I’m up but suddenly goes through when I’m at a loss without any lags or “odds have changed resubmit your order” I get it Kalshi needs to make money I guess and when they can’t have everyone winning. But it makes me not want to bet now so where you had someone like me every day betting and transferring money in and out, paying fees to deposit money, fees on each bet entry and exit, now I’d rather not. I can’t even leave the app downloaded on my phone because it drains the battery so much running in background
