Photograph or film a real animal and AnimalDex identifies it and turns it into a card in your collection. Then talk to it. It answers as itself, in its own voice, and teaches you the lesson it lives by: how a manta ray stays calm, why a Komodo dragon waits, what a wolf pack does when no one agrees.
TALK TO ANY ANIMAL
Every animal you collect has its own personality and voice. Ask it anything: about its life, or about yours. Replies are spoken aloud, and over 600 species play their own real recordings while they talk.
LEARN ITS LESSON
Every species carries an Animal Power: a principle drawn from how it survives. A kingfisher teaches precision. A crocodile teaches patience. Each card explains the pattern, the proof from nature, and how to use it in your own life.
COMPANIONS THAT REMEMBER YOU
Your animals remember what you tell them and share notes with each other, so the dragon already knows what you told the manta. Name them, ask for guidance on a real situation, and they check back a few days later to ask how it went. You can see, correct or forget anything they remember.
THEY MESSAGE YOU FIRST
Now and then, an animal you talk with writes to you on its own: a thought from its day, or a follow-up on yours. Mute any animal at any time.
ASK THEM ALL AT ONCE
Pick two to four of your animals and put a question to the group. They talk it over turn by turn and land on common ground.
PROVE IT IN REAL LIFE
Train on each lesson with a short quiz, then take its Trial: a real-world challenge you prove with a photo, a video or your own words. Earn the Power, level the animal up, and unlock battles and Fusion.
COLLECT 2,400+ ANIMALS
Every card has real stats, a grade for your capture, a tier and a level. Upload photos and videos straight from your camera roll, scan several animals in one session, and fill binders sorted by real taxonomy. Wild sightings stand apart from zoo, farm and pet captures.
BATTLE IN THE ARENA
Put a card against another collector's in a three-round battle: a scenario decided by stats, a community vote, and a head-to-head comparison.
EXPLORE
See where your animals live on a map of your sightings, follow other explorers in Discover, and watch narrated story videos made from real captures.
EARN FROM YOUR SIGHTINGS
Every place where you log three or more wild species becomes a virtual Wildlife Guide that other explorers can buy. Authors receive 70% of each sale after store fees, paid out through Earnings in supported countries. Eligibility and availability vary by country.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.
AnimalDex uses AI to identify animals and to voice them. Identifications can be wrong, and animals in the app are characters built from real natural history, not real animals speaking. Always keep a safe distance from wildlife and never disturb it.

- "What I remember about you" shows everything they know. Correct or forget any of it.
- Animals now message you first now and then. Find them under Messages > Animals, or mute any of them.
