• Real-time alerts from nearby protectors: The moment an owner reports a missing pet in your area, the alert lands on your map. Every nearby user becomes one more set of eyes.
• Sightings & hazards: Spotted a loose dog? Saw a hazard your neighborhood should know about? Tap and add it to the map. Owners get notified within seconds.
• Emergency vets, mapped — 24/7 veterinary clinics shown on the community map by default. When your pet is hurt, you don't have time to Google.

You become a protector the moment you add your first pet. From that point on, alerts in your area surface on your map, and your pet is registered in the network, so the next time someone scans a QR tag or reports a sighting, it counts.

• Pet-first identity: When a sighting or alert appears on the map, you now see the pet (name, photo, breed) — not anonymous "Community Member" labels. People help pets they recognize.
• Community map cleaner: The map now defaults to what matters in an emergency: active alerts and 24/7 emergency vets. Other layers (partners, dog parks, meetups) move to opt-in filters.
• Faster photo uploads: Every second matters when reporting a lost pet. New compression cuts upload time on cellular networks dramatically.
• Premium protectors: Premium subscribers now show a subtle gold marker on their identity. Verified protectors stand out.
