Mighty is free to download. You can get access to the full content as part of a yearly, monthly or lifetime subscription, available in the app at the prices displayed there.

Mighty uses self-defense techniques (think palm strikes and snap kicks) as a novel way to get in shape and boost your confidence. It starts with a beginners’ boot camp, then helps you gradually build upper and lower body strength until you’re ready for an intense full-body workout. So thankful.

Our house was broken into while I was home. Very fortunately I was not hurt, and was able to use what little self-defense I’ve had in the past. Needless to say, I felt I needed more training and the muscle memory would come in handy if there is a next time. We live in a very safe neighborhood, but it still happens and it’s so important to be prepared just in case.

Could be perfect

This is a great app and a fun way to get in shape. My only problems are that you can’t opt out of doing certain workouts or switch them out. It’s very all or nothing. It’s frustrating. Certain workouts are much more difficult than others and the only way to rate it is by categorizing the entire thing.

Another thing is that there isn’t enough of a cool down. I’d also really love if there were more tips to protect yourself from getting hurt while doing the workout. Almost threw out my back while doing kicks. Usually in kickboxing classes, they’ll give you tips to ensure you don’t injure yourself, there isn’t much of that.
