A wonderful favorite

Austin House Cafe and Country Store in Bates Oregon has been a favorite of ours for flat iron steaks and smoked prime rib for many years. Chef Jeff is meticulous in his flavoring and presentation. Christy designs our favorite Valentines and Mothers Day feasts. Truly a beautiful drive through the mountain highway to visit Austin House in Bates Oregon.

Fundamentals are broken; useless while traveling

This app doesn’t work while traveling; location services fail to load area restaurants and you’ll be staring at a loading sign every time you try. There is no offline mode, apparently, so if you make a list and favorite a few restaurants, it won’t load when you're off wifi. Needs user friendly resources like sync, save, and low data connections.

Developer Response ,

NicFits,

It sounds like you are experiencing a version update issue that may have corrupted some of the data on your phone. Please delete the existing version and reinstall and your issue should be resolved. As far as syncing offline, what content would you like to do that for? Mostly lists?

To enable the app to use cellular data you need to make sure your phone settings are giving permission to the app to do so. If you go to your phone's Settings > Guide Michelin be sure the Cellular Data is switched to the ON position.

Downloaded three times, each time deleted

Every time I think that it’s a perfect place to try the Michelin app (like Oaxaca Mexico, NYC) it either doesn’t support the region, or is too clunky to be worth the effort.

If Silicon Valley thinks personal data exchange is worth investing time and money, Michelin should think about embracing this app.

Instead of being a leading guide to great cuisine, it’s a an underpowered expansion of a paper book.

The issue with Oaxaca is that there are no selections there. MICHELIN does not cover every region in the world so that result is expected. As far as 'clunky' if you would elaborate we would be happy to hear the issues you are experiencing.
