In today’s overly crowded app atmosphere it's rare to find an app that hits all the right buttons. I had Apple News for a while and it was way too busy akin to streaming services like Pluto TV. Too much information and ads to be enjoyable. CNN is nicely laid out, easy to read and still gives ample coverage of a range of topics. One can argue political agenda back and forth but I appreciate the app and its simplicity. It’s relaxing to read and doesn’t try to cram 5lbs of stuff into a 1lb bag. By the Goldilocks principle “it’s just right”. Please keep it that way 😊As to charging for the app, understandably people who receive CNN in TV packages should be able to use the app for free. I do not have that situation so I am glad to pay to have it on my Apple TV as a standalone. However I think it only fair to point out, that unlike the past, news organizations are experiencing dwindling returns as people leave places like cable to go to streaming. With the streaming market looking to cut corners, places like HBO are spinning off certain cable channels (like CNN) to cut their costs. The future of services that people have used for years to watch news are going to have to find revenue from other sources. Peacock (Comcast) has followed suit. All these undercurrents, that many are unaware of, are changing a system that people have depended on for years. It’s easy to blame it on greedy corporations but when you finger point, make sure you are pointing in the right direction.

I can’t rely on Fox News because they are so far from reality they sound like a bunch of sideshow acts broadcasting purely to make us laugh. Every time I listen to them I think to myself what planet are they living on because they don’t deal with reality. CNN is reliable with their process of carving out the truth with their great line up of reporters like Anderson Cooper and Dana Banks. Reporting from Jake Tapper and so many new and dependable people that dig to get to the bottom of what’s going on in the world. What they report is scary especially right now with all the craziness going on in our government and nuts like Cruz, Trump and Hawley and the rest lie to the American people. I fear for the good people in our country. I fear the far right because they are working to take our democracy away. Biden doesn’t have the guts to tell the far right they aren’t doing what is needed for our country. I worry about Covid and how it has held the progress of our society from moving forward. CNN is the only news outlet I can listen to and know they are telling us how it is. I only wish they could tell us how to keep our country from going off the tracks when immoral people are trying to bury us with their lies and working 24/7 to fill their pockets after good people have fought hard shedding their blood to give us democracy. I want to keep it. So CNN how can we keep our country from being stolen by the filth in our government? Time is running out what can we do CNN?

In 2016 I thought you were all clueless about the problems that trump posed. I think you are learning. Keep it up. And come down hard on the republicans until they become a party with propitious ideas again. When Biden stumbles give him a gentle kick. But remember we are now fighting to save the country and form of government that our founding fathers created. A strong hint would be to show the differences in how women and men think differently. The men gave us the war 1812, the civil war, destruction of Native American ideals without showing their outstanding answers about how to live in harmony. We need more specials on the horror of slavery, we need to remember that European Americans did not all come here as honest brilliant scholars, and point out Lin_Manuels brilliant musical and how many more Hispanics will bring brilliant prose, music, sports skills, literature and innumerable other talents that will send us moving forward again. Then there is science and how far along we have come in a year. When the scientists answer our questions have you noticed the notable number who answer our questions about the virus and vaccines with their foreign accents? I am an average American here who reads constantly to find the answers we all need. And for those of you who do not know, climate change, crispr and other more difficult problems are here now. How about giving them a mention. Finally why would people elect a president who tells his base to dump their masks and in doing so kills his supporters. Thank-you for reading my never ending verbiage. I think in paragraphs, not sentences. My last (really) thought centers around Ronald Reagan. Since President Trump has taken office CNN and other news sources have undermined everything he has tried to do. When past presidents have attempted the same things CNN posted favorable coverage. Has anyone thought about the country that our president represents and what he could accomplish if he had some support. An example of this: in the past leaders of North Korea have made all kinds of threats and violence to the US and other countries and when that occurred our presidents always tried to pacify them with talk and many times giving in to their demands or at least partially. None of that worked period. So now we have a new president with new ideas, one that was elected to run the country. And what happens does he get support, no just the opposite. Federal judges wanting to show off stop him cold , news media publish their BS polls that I think they get out of their butts. When he attempts to stop or scare Kim when Kim threatens us with nukes he reminds him that we also have nukes , but then what happens while Kim is shaking with the thought of losing his position in life: a bunch of elected officials and again the news media all quickly announce that president Trump doesn’t have the power to make a first strike or use our nuclear weapons. Wow way to go I’m sure Kim in North Korea was able to breathe normal again with that bit of good news. Wake up America if president Trump loses the country loses. United we stand and divided we fall. Old news, yes but we better wake up or we might just wake up to a whole new world, one that we may not like.
