Current Fountain Prices

After purchasing several 52 oz. refillable mugs from 7-11 over the last 20 years and purchasing a multitude of refills, I am now stuck with paying 7-11 regular prices on fountain drinks due to COVID. Things vary so much from store to store that it's difficult to shop at 7-11 when a fountain drink is my main purchase. Some stores don't stock 44 oz. cups now, some stores are carrying styrofoam cups (my preference since refillable mugs can't be used), and prices are not giving fountain drink purchasers a break EXCEPT for 49-cent Big Gulps. I have purchased 2 just for me to take advantage of the pricing, but that gets cumbersome. And oh yeah - Can somebody please tell me what 11 cents in sales tax for a 49-cent item is based on? In Colorado, the registers where I have shopped are consistently adding this much tax to the Big Gulp purchase. I'm sure the governmental entities appreciate the Big Gulp sales tax bonus, but as a customer, I promise to appreciate it more.

I have found two competitors that offer a 52 oz. fountain cup. I'm sure there are more. One store charges 89 cents for this filled cup, and the other charges 69 cents for same size. In case anyone hasn't noticed, my 7-11 visits have decreased about 95%, and this is the reason.

Very useful app

I love that the promotions on this app allow you to earn points without making a purchase, and that the app is easy to use in store and can be updated immediately. It’s important to me that the rewards app be available in the future, so I would prefer if referral reward points be given when you refer someone and they make a verified purchase. I know most people but all of their stuff at full price and many people just aren’t willing to download apps on their phone. One thing that bothers me is that once you verify your age, the pop up telling you to verify your age doesn’t go away. It makes me worry that my age isn’t verified, but when I click on it, it turns out that yes, in fact, my age is verified. I also dislike that 7/11 stores do not accept all cigarette coupons and that you must use digital coupons approved by 7/11. Many times I would prefer to use the paper coupons sent to me in the mail.

I’m always amazed when a major corporation releases and heavily markets a product like #7now but doesn’t catch stuff like... updating delivery time... in a delivery app. Fun fact, the app also does not tell you what it’s password requirements are during account creation or allow hyphens in last names, shows out of stock items as available, does not have a way to contact the driver or modify the order once submitted, sells your personal information (US only so it’s legal to require you to opt in to email marketing and associated data barter), requires you to call customer service and wait on hold for upwards of 45 minutes... to leave a voicemail, and the best part is it’s not even 7Eleven delivering your order... it’s Postmates! Also can’t request a refund on an order through the app, Microsoft Anna yells at you about there being “three people ahead of you” although that number doesn’t change and eventually just dumps you to voicemail, cancels orders hours after stated delivery time without reaching out to customers and in some cases without notifying them, delivers partially fulfilled orders and sometimes charges the full amount. I’d be genuinely amused by the incompetence on display here if it wasn’t standing between me and some skittles... which means that this is true to the in-store 7Eleven experience at least.
