The new version of the App is much more modern. While there are a few glitches the tech team at CIBC is updating the App constantly throughout the day(s) so I can re-download to get all the updates.

While the app is generally nicer and more modern, the way that it shows balances and transactions is a significant downgrade. I don’t care what type of transaction it is; I want to see the merchant first. Additionally, my brain needs to see the running balance next to the transactions, and not just one number of what the available balance is. It just feels like the actual app is more intuitive, but the data displayed is not even remotely user friendly.

So the developers shut down the actual working app OCT 24-27 of 2025. That app is still active but can not be used. They instruct you to download the new app, of which they have two! After inputting your old credentials you are prompted to make a new password only to be hit with an error. Useless. Oh, and make sure to uncheck the preferences they try to sneak in there.
