This is the Primo System I needed.

I’ve been jumping rope for up to 15 years. And breaking ropes for up to 15 years. Snapping cords. Busting bearings. Cracking handles. All of it until now. I sat on buying this for about three months and in that time I went through three different name brand ropes. Admittedly I’ve been jumping on concrete so the didn’t help, but even in the days when I was jumping on parquet floors things were still going wrong. Since skipping rope is my primary form of exercise and toning, I figured an investment would be worth it from allI I was hearing in reviews, even though I take them with a grain of salt. But now I’m all the way in. Four ropes, a mat, I’ve even let my free Crossrope app account rollover into my debit card. The workouts are up on point, the ropes and handles are on point— I’m not a joiner or a follower, not even a person that leaves reviews, but this ish has me locked. You got me Crossrope! Congrats. 🤣🔥✊🏽

Five Stars Now Borderline 2!

The app is great! Easy to use, never bored of the workouts. Many are extremely challenging. However, I started using the app and bought the rope system almost 2 years ago when the gyms were shut down due to the pandemic. Several friends and I began using the app to jump together virtually. What motivation and accountability this allowed. I went from having three friends jump to introducing nearly 100 people to this wonderful world of jumping rope for fitness! We would all sign up for the challenges and complete them together using technology each day. Even if you had the lite version, you were able to complete the 21-day challenges, which were reduced to 14-day challenges and now Crossrope has gotten besides themselves by limiting the challenges to the first few days to those who don’t have the premium version of the app. By jumping together, SEVERAL of those who jump with me have gone on to buy the rope system, but they don’t want or can’t afford the premium version of the app. It’s disheartening that Crossrope has not only changed this option, but increased the cost of the rope system which already gives people sticker shock. I’m very disappointed. We’re just a bunch of people who want to challenge and motivate each other…no one is getting paid for this EXCEPT CROSSROPE! What gives?

People out of work; app charges for use.

It’s disheartening to see a company make a cash grab during these times. As a corporate business owner in a luxury service myself, I understand that hard decisions are being made by founders and CEO’s. My husband and I have supported Crossrope by spending upwards of $400 on their jump rope sets; we have promoted them on social media, spending time convincing our friends that, yes, they really do need a $100 jump rope. We comment on their paid ads with positive reviews and praise. We have loved the brand, their affiliation with the Jump Rope Dudes, and learning the jump rope life.

At the peak of people being out of work due to the global pandemic and mass layoffs, we think it’s in poor taste to launch a paid version of the app and limit access to content. We’ve seen such generosity from the fitness community in helping inspire people to be active at home, and it’s sad to see that Crossrope has decided to use this time to turn a profit. While this wouldn’t be a financial barrier for us, many people are not so fortunate.

Obviously I don’t know the financial pulse of this company, and I sincerely wish them the best, but we are disappointed in the timing of paid access to the app and will likely result in long term distaste for the brand for us.

Developer Response ,

Hello! We sincerely appreciate your feedback and understand your concern with adding a paid version of the app. We understand not everyone will have the opportunity to upgrade to a paid version, and for that reason provide a variety of workouts even in our free version. We offer 5 new daily workouts from our trainers every week, 10 daily workouts, and 6+ fitness challenges for free. Hopefully, you have been able to continue enjoying the ropes, and if you have any more concerns, let us know at support@crossrope.com.
