Cryptical is a full-featured password generator aimed at end users and system administrators that require safe, random passwords or passphrases. Features: • Truly randomly generated passwords • Ability to include/exclude characters sets (lowercase characters, uppercase characters, numbers, symbols) • Ability to always include or always exclude certain characters • Create random passphrases from a list of over tens of thousands English and/or German words. For added security, randomly change upper/lowercase characters or substitute random letters with numbers. You can also choose the separator, which can be a random symbol. • Password strength meter displays the actual strength of a generated password • Generated passwords can be copied to the pasteboard or shared with other apps • Bulk generator: generate a large number of passwords or passphrases at once • Passwort List function that can contain an unlimited number of passwords, complete with comments and meta information • Bulk operations: copy several passwords into the pasteboard at once, share them, print them • Passwords can be printed out (requires a device that supports AirPrint!) • Password length up to 999 characters • Passwords can be completely random or pronounceable • Passwords can be generated in a way that every character is only used once • Cryptical's contents can be protected with a passcode or Touch ID / Face ID • App icon, theme and font selection: customize Cryptical to your liking Cryptical is completely free. I’m rating this app highly because this is the ONLY developer who took the time respond to explain why they ask for ratings when you are trying to use the app. This was infuriating because most times I’m rushing to get something important done. The developer graciously took the time to explain and how to control these surprise attacks. I give high praise for their work and their efforts. Now to actually review the app. Spectacular! That is the most appropriate description imho. For a novice user, I love this app. It’s simple to use and generates awesome passwords. They have fields to fill out so you remember which accounts the passwords are used for as well as other pertinent information you need to access your accounts. My only hope is that their security to fend off hackers is as awesome as their app! Nobody needs hackers to get into their password vault.

Hey, unfortunately app discoverability very much depends on ratings. If I don’t prompt for a rating, most people don’t rate the app in their own. Since I’m not the only one using this functionality, you may want to disable it completely if you’re annoyed by it. The setting is in the iOS settings: Settings ➞ App Store ➞ In-App Ratings & Reviews.

I downloaded this app to generate simple passwords. The program does exactly what it says. I got this program because I grew tired of my old password generator,l that continually popped up ads when I was just trying to generate a password. While I have not seen any pop-ups from this app yet, I did see there was an in app purchase label in the App Store. I wish the developer would be clearer in the program description as to what the in app purchases were for. I would pay a small fee for this kind of app just to not be bothered by in app purchases. Thank you to the developer for developing a straightforward app.

If you like the app, you can tip me a few bucks (you can find this in the settings). It’s entirely optional though - no strings attached. I will add that information to the app’s description on the next update.

When generating a passwords by batch, it won’t match the assigned number of characters you chose. For instance, if I wanted to assign a batch of just 1 password with 10 characters, after counting I would count only about 8 numbers/letters. I don’t know what detention the dev uses for “characters” but even after setting a batch password to 1 batch with 5 characters, I would get “ '!sa/((Z” minus the quotes. This is 7 characters from what I see. So I don’t know how exactly they define “characters”. Now if you go to the main page of the app and generate a password there and choose let’s say 10 characters , the password that’s generated in real time will be 10 characters. So this might be a bug in the batch editor.

Hey, I tried to reproduce your problem, but it's working fine for me. In the batch generator interface, you need to set the "length" parameter to the numbers of characters you would like your passwords to have. I just tested this in various configurations, and it always produced the correct length. There is also a preview which shows exactly what kind of password you're going to get in the end. Remember that the settings on the main screen have no influence on the settings of the generator - they are intentionally kept separate. This app is definitely one of my the top used apps on my device. I have close to 150 passwords saved, so without this I’d be lost. I work in R&D. Evaluating new software solutions for teams is something I do often, so I’m always creating new accounts on apps and websites for testing. Having the ability to quickly create a new secure password, search for existing passwords, and organize them is a complete time saver. I’m surprised the developer is giving this is free. I’d gladly pay a few bucks to use this app if they asked.
