Daily Readings Lite is the easiest (free!) way to access the day's Scripture readings prescribed by the lectionary of the Greek Orthodox Church. This app follows the typikon and lectionary of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Great Idea, Bad Execution

I appreciate this app a lot, I’ve been using it since my priest recommended it to me. I must say that the concept of this app is excellent, but the execution is poor. The design and interface are outdated and bland, with frequent bugs and almost no customization options. Even more concerning, some of the saint and feast readings contain inaccuracies, and the scriptural readings are often riddled with grammatical errors. For an app meant to present the daily life of the Church, accuracy and attention to detail should be non negotiable. A great app, but until it’s gets a huge update and overall corrected, it remains a clunky experience.

This app was great, through yesterday. This morning, it will not load—screen starts to load and then it suddenly clears and returns to main phone screen. I have tried clearing from app-switcher, also restarting my phone, same result. Then I uninstalled it and then tried reinstalling, and it still will not load.Please fix this app so it will load and work.

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon. * Fixed bug that prevented some time-appropriate prayers to show up on the main screen.
