HYPR 4+

Good but lacking crucial feature

HYPR is pretty good, but it ought to allow for both Face ID and PIN for the same device. Many other 2FA apps work this way. It’s an issue for me since I use this app at work, and I am wearing a mask up to 50% of the time. Other apps would try Face ID first, then fall back on PIN, but HYPR has no such option.

ACrowds, thank you for the feedback The good news is that we have recently added the capability for your administrator to configure a fall back option so that, during those times when facial recognition is not an option, the app will prompt you with your defined fallback option. Simple is an understatement.

I use HYPR every day for work — whether than is authenticating into my devices during business hours, or showcasing the product to potential customers.

HYPR is straightforward from a design standpoint. The intuitive UX and functionality make using the app a very pleasant experience. There are no hiccups, unclear interface copy, or anything that would make the app confusing to a newcomer. A quick rundown of the features to navigate the app is enough to suffice; once you get the motions down, it becomes second nature.

It’s also pretty cool to never ever have to enter a password anywhere. I can use this single app to login into any device that is registered to me that maintains the level of security I am looking for.

I have yet to find something that truly competes with HYPR’s phishing-resistant MFA offering *and* has such a clean user experience at the same time. Definitely recommend if you’re considering a solution for your workforce or even your consumers!

Works but annoying noise

As an end user, this solution is useful and seem less but there is an annoying high pitched ring every time you unlock your computer with the iPhone app. The noise makes me not want to use this solution. I found out that turning off my phone ringer silences the noise but is something I have to remember to do because I typically have my ringer on. There is no way to change the noise in the app and is not affected by my notification settings. If there can’t be an in app setting to turn off the noise, I think it should be disabled all together because I don’t see a purpose.
