I have been using Keelo since mid April (5.5 months) and am still loving the workouts and the results. I tested out a bunch of different workout app trials and although some of the other apps had more features or better interfaces, I found that Keelo had the best workouts and isn’t that most important thing in a workout app? If you like the workouts, you will keep doing them. While I was already in good shape and active, I had never done weight training before and have gotten so much stronger and toned in my time with Keelo.While the app does lack some extra functionality that you would find in other similar workout apps (lack of calendar to easily look at upcoming or past workouts, very limited cardio workouts you can track within the app, and poor Apple Watch integration - which supposedly is going to be improved soon, yay) the developer is constantly making improvements, addressing users concerns and actually taking suggestions on how to make the app work better for us. Most apps don’t fix those things so quickly. I’m excited to see how they continue to make this app better and to see more results from doing the workouts.For reference I am a 28yr old female and this app works for me! I started out with only a small set of dumbbells and kettle bells for the first couple of months. This set up a good foundation learning the movements in the app but when I added a barbell set I felt like the app really opened up in terms of potential, plus it allowed for much more variety in the workouts.

I have consistently used Keelo and followed their recommendations for several months now. I am getting significant results. I am noticeably stronger and fitter, not only in my home gym, but in my everyday activities. Even with things like trimming the yard, carrying the bag of dog food, or moving a piece of furniture upstairs. The workouts have also helped me improve my distant running. I have tried so many fitness apps, but this one is unique. It is simple and right to the point and keeps me focused. Sometimes I tell myself there is no way I can complete the workout, but what an incredible feeling when you realize how much more you had in you when it’s all over. If you listen to your body and scale back where you need to, as they recommend, the workouts are very effective. I have never done CrossFit or anything similar. I mention this because I truly feel this app is for anyone. I don’t use the social media part or post the workouts I have done, and I don’t pay attention to leader boards. I just enjoy seeing myself get stronger. The videos of each lift/movement are extremely helpful and well done. You can customize the app to your specific needs/wants, for example if equipment is unavailable to you, or there are movements you don’t want to perform, you can indicate this in the app. The workouts will push you and that’s what I really love about the app. Thank you Keelo!

Let me start by explaining that I’ve never been into exercising. I started working out after I got my Apple Watch one year ago, and I fell in love with exercise and strength training. For one year I’ve been working out almost every day. Exactly 9 months ago I decided to try some fitness apps and after reading some reviews, ended up installing a couple. Keelo was one of the chosen ones, I started the free trial and immediately loved it, so I ended up paying the annual subscription to have the personalized program. What I love about this app is that it’s so targeted and intense that you start noticing results very quick and with just 30 minutes of exercise 3-4 times a week! I’m active also during my rest days, but my strength, cardio endurance, and physical appearance has improved dramatically since I started using this app. I always recommend it to everyone! The developer, Hoon is great, responsive to emails, and always present in the Keelo fam tab to cheer on your progress! Thank you for coming up with this idea, I can’t imagine my fitness routine without Keelo. I’d like to add also that I don’t have any fancy equipment at home. Basically just dumbbells, and still the workouts are so effective and the routines are not repetitive at all. So definitely, give it a try!If I could suggest something would be perhaps working a bit more on the strength program for users who, like me, just have access to dumbbells. The strength map is focused on barbells (as it usually is in Crossfit programs) and I suspect the movements may be also more varied with barbells. But as I said, I’ve been doing the strength program and the workouts with dumbbells for almost a year now and I’m still very happy.

4 stars - app is solid and workouts are solid. I’m a former cross-fitter and need to be able to do these workouts on my own in different locations and with different equipment (I travel for work and can’t always find a box). I don’t feel the pressure that I sometimes felt at the boxes I would go to and I can fully control my weight and limit my injury risk. I love how the app tracks all of my reps - no more whiteboards or chalk to track reps and sets. The videos are great and am glad there is the option to download them. The other huge benefit is that the workouts are tracked to ME and what I have done and my past workouts. Going to an actual Crossfit box, I could miss a day mid week and then miss legs or some other key workout. With keelo, it follows my schedule and If I switch my workout days, I never miss anything. Keelo team - thank you! If you’re reading for improvements, a few ideas to get this app from very good to great: 1. Have the ability to save filter ‘groups’ with names for equipment and movements to eliminate. For example, my “on the road” set of filters or my “home” set - I travel for work and would like to switch all the filters from one group to another without going in one by one. To change what equipment I may or may not have for a given week/workouts. 2. Have the countdown warning beeps on all exercises to give indication of remaining time (or make the setting configurable. Overall, well worth the money!
