The app was awesome with so many features and allowed you to really get creative…however, with the latest update the app is awful and spotty. For example when you upload files from camera roll and switch back to the app, the videos don’t show whereas before as soon as you switched back to the Filmora app they newly added videos/pictures would pop right up for use. After this latest update, I’ll do the same and click the green “GO” button and select the files and then go back into the Filmora app, they don’t appear. This happens majority of the time. If I do find them I have to switch tabs to the specific “video” tab and they’ll be there but under the general “ALL” they don’t show up which they should and used to prior to this update. It’s incredibly frustrating that the files you want to edit just do not appear. This essentially makes the overall Filmora app completely worthless not being able to find the added media you want to edit. Also the app uses up a lot of memory on “partially watched/viewed” templates and stores each one you view regardless if you use the template. I had to go into the storage settings and go to the Filmora app and one by one delete each of these files and then found out the storage amount didn’t change at all when I also deleted all drafts and the app still shows it’s using up 96 GB…I’m not sure if anyone else is experiencing these issues or similar but hopefully Filmora fixes all of these issues. Very frustrating and disappointing when the app used to be flawless.

There many different effects for movie making that can help improve your editing skills and make your video more entertaining to view. I would like to be able to keep the app once I purchase it and not have to pay to renew it after one year. But because it is a very usable app, I wouldn’t mind the renewal fee if it were something like half off the original cost for the original purchase. I have not looked into those specific details yet but I will once I’m ready to purchase this app. Have fun!EDIT: July 2025… there is some problem where it freezes and crashes if you have too many effects added in editing. So what I’ve done is just export the project to not overwhelm the app and then start a new project but using the exact file I just exported so it’s like saving the work and starting over. Well…… the issue continues when try to export it again with just a few more additions and it will not export not even in the lower settings for frame rate and resolution. It’s as if the app can’t handle the file size even though it’s been restarted as a new projects with only a few changes it has to process to export.

I paid for the monthly pro version. I’ve been using this app for over a month and it was fine but recently it has been lagging and freezing. It is very frustrating. I edited a video and now when I open that project in the app the screen is frozen I cannot click on anything or make any edits or save my video. I spent so long editing it and it was a waste because I cannot access the video. I have closed the app and opened it multiple times and I waited hours in between trying to access the video (since I was hoping it would no longer be frozen) but it has been 8 hours and it is still not working. The home screen of the app works but when I click on the video I just edited I cannot edit it or save it or click on anything. I am very disappointed with this app. There are also not that many features included in the paid version. Another downside is that when you add text or picture in picture it does not stay where you want it in the video clip if you cut out any of the video before the text or picture in the timeline. You have to keep moving the pictures and text around unless you cut out everything or add every video clip completely first before adding the text and pictures on top of the video clips. (sometimes while editing I find another clip I want to add or want to cut out something but it’s so complicated to do because it will cause all of the text and picture in pictures to move). I do not recommend this app!
