My Bright Day is a tool for parents and guardians of children in Bright Horizons child care centers. You will receive real-time updates about how your child is doing and what they are learning to help you stay connected. Find all the information you need – naptimes, diaper changes, photos, and documentation on your child’s development – right at your fingertips.
HELP TEACHERS PLAN YOUR CHILD’S DAY
Each morning, you can share important notes about your child’s day before arrival (like how well your child slept or whether they finished breakfast) to help your child’s teacher provide the best possible care.
GET REAL TIME UPDATES
A timeline view lets you see your child’s naptimes, meals, and other care events as the day goes on. A group view lets you see care events grouped by type so that you can quickly see a summary of all naps, meals etc. You’ll also receive developmental observations from your child’s teachers about how your child is learning, growing, playing, and developing new skills. Your child’s care is our first priority, so updates are made as time allows throughout the day.
SAVE SPECIAL MOMENTS AND MEMORIES
Get photos and videos of your child’s day in class and access them at any time in the Memories section—you can also save your favorites to your phone or tablet.
MAKE ARRIVAL AND PICK-UP QUICK AND EASY
Set an ETA within the app to let your child’s teachers know when you’ll be at the center for morning arrival or afternoon pickup. This helps teachers plan and ensure that arrival and pickup go as smoothly as possible!
RECEIVE IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Calendar reminders will help you stay up to date on center events, classroom activities, due dates, and supplies to bring in for your child.
GET CAUGHT UP WITH THE DAILY REPORT
If you can’t check the app regularly, read the daily report – a summary of all the care events, developmental observations, and notes that were entered for your child that day. The daily report will be available in the app after you check out of the center, so you can catch up on your child’s day when it works for you.
This app is pretty good, but could be great. One big pain point of mine is that I will get real time notifications (like a new photo posted) but when I click into to app to see the update, the page isn’t up to date. This happens with all notifications (like a diaper change, a feeding, falling asleep, etc), not just new photos. It would be really great if the app had better refreshing on its own or a way to manually refresh. It’s frustrating to get notifications but then not actually be able to see the update for my child in the app.
Most frustrating part of daycare

This app has always been clunky but recently it has gotten so glitchy and slow it is absolutely aggravating. Constantly getting signed out, events of the day just don’t load, other pages of the app take forever to load. I often force-close the app and re-open in an attempt to get things to load, and then encounter the new login issues again. I love our BH center but this app is just atrocious. The only way to contact your child’s teachers is via “dropoff notes” which you only have access to during the first 2ish hours of the day. I understand it would be insane to have parents messaging all day asking how kiddo is doing, but sometimes I think of something I want to tell the teacher whose shift ends before pickup, or respond to a teacher note. I imagine the app is frustrating for the educators as well. I know there are lots of good childcare apps out there, not sure why Bright Horizons insists on having their own proprietary one. You are a caregiving company, not a tech company.
Constantly broken
JG001011
It is remarkable how often this apps core functionality breaks. For example, now it appears to be impossible to save photographs. You click download and nothing happens. You click the new share button and the first photo shows that you can save to your photos. It doesn’t work but at least the option is there. For subsequent photos the save photo option when using the share button isn’t even an option. This has been broken since the new version but at this point I need to take screenshots of my photographs in the app since the core functionality is completely broken. Perhaps this team needs to have some better test cases before the roll updates.
Great app to make you stop worry about your child
Anshu Sisodhiya
I have been using this app from almost 3 months and it is a really great way to keep a track on your kid while they are away from you. I love the the way they have made it interactive by letting parents fill up notes about the kids. I absolutely love the options of memories where we have pictures uploaded while kids are performing some activties or playing. I also like to reminders feature 😊 Overall this is a great app for keeping me worry free while I am working.
Thank you for using My Bright Day!" To ensure our app is working better for you, we deliver updates regularly. This update includes bug fixes and performance improvements."
