Protect Your Payments
Stop exposing your credit or debit card information and protect your online payments with Privacy. Join over 250,000 users who have saved millions of dollars by using Privacy to block unwanted charges from compromised cards, overcharging, hidden fees, and forgotten subscriptions.
Getting started with Privacy is simple: create your account, verify your information, securely link your bank account or debit card, and request your first virtual card. Start shopping and enjoy the added layer of protection Privacy provides to protect you from payment card theft and fraud.
Benefits:
- Shield your true financial information: Our Privacy Cards mask your debit card or bank account number to help protect you from card theft and fraud. Pay with greater privacy and security anytime, anywhere on desktop or on mobile.
- Create merchant-locked and one-time-use cards: Our cards automatically "lock" to the first merchant they are used at, so if the merchant is ever breached, the card number can never be used anywhere else. You can also create one-time-use cards that automatically close after a single transaction.
- Take complete control over your spending: Set customizable spending limits to prevent overcharging and block hidden fees—perfect for managing subscriptions and recurring expenses. If a transaction goes over the limit, we will automatically decline it.
- Leverage real-time transaction monitoring: Receive notifications any time a Privacy Card is used. Easily pause, unpause, and close Privacy Cards any time with just one push of a button.
Privacy’s core product is free to use on domestic transactions, because, like other card companies, we collect transaction fees from merchants. Privacy Cards can be used at most merchants that accept credit and debit cards.
The security of our users’ personal information and data is critical to everything that we do at Privacy. You can review our security policies at https://privacy.com/security.

This app allows you to easily create virtual credit cards linked to your bank account for online payments. It offers the standard credit card protections for disputing charges. It lets you create individual cards for separate online accounts. You can create a card for a single use, or for multiple withdrawals (e.g., to pay recurring monthly bills) while placing a limit on how much can be withdrawn on a per-withdrawal basis or as a whole. You can also pause a card or close it from your phone with a simple tap. These settings can be easily modified. These features have protected me from double billings, from attempts to make a withdrawal after a trial period ended where I had declined to make a full purchase, and from companies that tried to auto-renew when I had not given that authorization. There’s an upgrade that will hide the vendor, which is good to have available. There’s also a categories upgrade I haven’t tried. Great app that gives me peace of mind, gives me control, and keeps improving.
PHISHING SCAM? -BEWARE-
Arcanum1
All the reviews I read gave glowing marks to this company. HOWEVER... after entering quite a bit of personal information and debit card information (that info would be a gem on the dark web) I received “YOUR CARD IS NOT SUPPORTED”. The first red flag that came up was the clunky interface to enter my day of birth (never saw any other site require me to swipe back decades through monthly calendars to tap on when I was born). Next flag was after being denied, It required that I enter my actual bank account number (that’s when I put on the brakes). BTW- my debit card is through one of the nation’s largest card companies... no reason why it should be rejected. Perhaps this company is legit, but IT HAS ALL THE TRAITS OF A PHISHING SCAM. I plan on immediately changing card numbers and contacting my state Attorney General. Unfortunately, this does little to mitigate the personal information that I already entered. The idea for the service is sound, but I have concerns that the company is not. UPDATE- I requested that my personal data be removed from the company’s database. Several months later, I received an email showing I was approved for one of their ‘burner’ cards… all I had to do was attach a bank account to it. Obviously, they retain all personal info they can get on people. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE… please go on their website and do a street-view of their address. They are in a small unmarked brick building near Chinatown in New York City (another red flag).

I’ve been using privacy for over three years now. Started as a free user then moved to premium as I switched all my bills to it. I use the service for all online payments now. I used to get hit by fraud a few times per year and it’s an annoying process to go through. Now I’ve dropped to one fraud in 3 years. Privacy has caught multiple fraudulent attempts and stopped them cold. Since cards lock to merchants I don’t even need to kill a compromised card. It’s even fun to watch the scammers try to use it and fail! The app works amazingly well and it’s easy to use . I like how it tracks transactions per card so you can see how much you are spending. I’d like to see some more reporting capabilities in the future is my only suggestion. Like spit out reports of how much spend per card per month/year/custom. The cash back with premium pays for the fee and even some extra cash which never hurts. Customer service was great too the one time I used them. I recommend it to all my friends. Thank you for a great service Privacy!

Saved me from Crunch Gym
EL_FlacoFlow
Used this app specifically for my Gym membership with Crunch, when i was moving to a different city i went in person to cancel my gym membership and the person there said i was all set and my membership cancelled. After i walked out out i turned the card i was using from this app off. The following month i get a notification from Privacy saying Crunch tried to charge my card again! And the app did was it was made for and stopped it from being charged. I called crunch and told them i had canceled my membership and they practically brushed me off saying i needed to pay my current “past due” bill to cancel my membership. Its been 3 months now and they keep trying to charge me 3-4 times a month and Privacy keep blocking them!! Not bad for a free service. I Highly recommend it for gym membership!
