Playback controls are broken

For the past couple of versions, playback controls are very buggy. Trying to slide the timeline while playback is happening is not working. You have to use the “next” button to play the next clip rather than just being able to slide to it. In a long clip you should be able to drag the timeline left or right to get to the time stamp you want. Additionally, in a professional system like ACS you should be able to export and share a clip on the iPad or iPhone like you can in the Companion app. Lastly, playback speed controls would be nice if feasible.

The 26th of November we released the ability to export recordings. Hope you enjoy the new feature.

More Functionality Would be Nice!

While the app works fairly well, as an integrator that deals with multiple platforms; I, as well as my customers would certainly appreciate more features and capabilities from mobile app. Without having to reply on being on a physical PC/software The most requested capabilities would better search features for video playback, and support for ACS secure entry capabilities, being able to add users, view live events with video, etc. It seems a bit oxymoronic to have to assign someone a mobile/bluetooth credential from an actual computer. I feel like the back end/basics are already in place, and with a bit more functionality, it could easily be one of the best in the industry.

Doesn’t like WiFi

Does anyone else have an issue with trying to view on WiFi? A perfect fast WiFi connection may load for a few seconds then drops out and gives the connection error never to load again. Shut off WiFi and use a spotty LTE connection and it works much better, but with bugs and dropouts. Yes, everything is up to date

App improvements are huge step forward …

This app has come far. As a platform integrator, we’ve experimented with various VMS systems. In our informed opinion, Axis Camera Station is the “lightest” and most stable of all our tested apps. They’ve packed a lot of the most used functionality into a straightforward app that doesn’t overly compromise battery life. Bottom line, the older reviews of this app similarly aren’t reflective of its modern capabilities.

Solved an issue with FFMPEG that could affect playback and export of recordings. Improved support for exporting av1 recordings. Bug fixes and performance improvements.
