Grid for iPad is available through a monthly subscription with a 30-day FREE trial or as a one-off purchase. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
Monthly subscription details:
Your Grid for iPad 30-day trial will begin after the confirmation of purchase of the Grid for iPad subscription. Once your purchase is confirmed, payment will be charged to your iTunes Account within 24 hours prior to the end of your free trial period.
The subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can turn off auto-renewal by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription.

Updated printable resources
We’re excited to share a major refresh to our printable resources, designed to make it easier than ever to access, print and use paper-based AAC boards based on some of our most-loved vocabularies. This update is available in Grid for Windows. With this release, these printable boards will be available in all the languages supported by the corresponding grid sets. All printable boards can now be found in the Printables section in the Add Grid Set window, available online.
Updates to Super Core German
We’ve made major improvements across the German versions of Super Core 50, Super Core 30, and the Learning grids. These updates strengthen vocabulary, symbols, grammar support, and overall ease of use. The result is a clearer, more accurate, and more flexible communication experience for German‑speaking users.
Cell label alignment
You can now align cell labels to the left or right, in addition to the existing centre alignment. This gives you more control over how your grid sets look and feel, making it easier to design layouts that match your communication style or visual preferences. Left and right alignment can help with organising information and improving readability, especially for longer labels or languages where directional layout matters.
Accessible message box
Grid now includes an accessible message box that appears as a pop‑up for important information, including consent gathering for online AI tools. The message box works with all access methods.
Improvements
Added an improvement allowing the timer “set” command to let users choose hours as well as minutes and seconds, so timers can be set for up to a full day. Previously, the timer could only be set for up to one hour.
Added chat history files for Xhosa language (Grid for Windows)
Updated onboarding screens to better explain how we share usage data (Grid for iPad)
Added Portuguese (Brazilian) as an iOS locale (Grid for iPad)
Minor changes in Super Core and Voco Chat in most languages
Fixes
Fixed an issue where ElevenLabs voices (version 2 multilingual models) didn’t pronounce numbers correctly
Fixed an issue where the “speak as you type” title was cut off in German
Fixed issue where Windows Smart App Control would prevent Grid from loading by signing all Grid dependencies
Fixed an issue where if a special character was added to a write cell in edit mode, the grid set would crash
Fixed bugs in accessible apps
