UPDATE: Developers of this app are awesome and have awesome response time! I did discover that the reason why it was crashing was because of a super large 3rd party download from Trimble. I was able to remove it and get moving again. I have learned that when I download items from trimble - if they take longer than 30 seconds to download I automatically delete them so that they won’t be an issue. I would ding Trimble... I think they need to give more information and such on their items so you can be more educated about them before you download them... but I am LOVING Live Home 3D Pro!!I have so very much enjoyed this app and have had the most fun using it to design my house that is currently being built. Everything was going GREAT until this week! It started crashing!! It takes FOREVER to load (if it will load without an error)... and then a few minutes into working on the project it kicks me out of the app completely! I have deleted and reinstalled the app I don’t know how many times. I am on an Ipad Pro with plenty of memory and storage so I don’t know what is going on. It is super frustrating becuase I have spent so much time working on my project... what happened to this app?????? Right now I cannot recommend this app to anyone... 3 days ago I would have recommended it to everyone!

Hello! There could be several reasons why the app may crash: 1) the lack of free space on your device (we recommend to have at least 2 GB for the normal app functioning); the solution - backup and delete the unnecessary content from your device to free enough space for the app; 2) some third party objects (such as the ones downloaded from the Trimble 3D Warehouse), may contain a big amount of triangles or have issues with the texture which leads to excessive consumption of RAM during the download, which, in its turn, crashes the app; the solution - turn off your internet connection, open the project and find the object which was downloading (it has a clock sign or “X” on the 2D plan and has a white box shape with clock or warning message in 3D), delete it; the app should stop crashing after that. Update,After a few weeks of using the software the program is becoming easier to use, and thru trial and error, you can figure out it’s abilities. Tech support has been responsive to all my questions! Sorry I bothered them so much. From what I see it’s a very capable program, just takes patience for first time users.I had purchased the pro version of this product to develop plans for a future garage/home. There are many features that are not intuitive about the program and/or it is very glitch. For example, the elevation view sometimes shows your project, and other times is just a blank page. When it works I have no idea why it’s working. Adding features such as roofs, nothing happens in the 3D view, then all of a sudden I have multiple roofs added. Again either the software isn’t working correctly, or it is just not an easy/intuitive process. It’s almost easier to do my drafting on paper instead. I’ll keep using it for now but my patience are thinning.

Hello! Thank you for the feedback. In order to see the correct elevation view, you need to select the necessary wall first. This process is shown in the "Elevation View" tutorials, available on our website. Adding roofs is also simple, you just need to switch to the appropriate story and add the roof on the current story or above (these are two different controls). The process of roof creation is also shown in a number of video tutorials that we have. ***UPDATE II***You heard it here first ppl! End of May 2024. This is a problem that started on April 4th 2024. I was told at that time it would be “a couple of weeks”. After going back and forth since then, I have been given excuse after excuse. This is beyond nuts! It has been 8 weeks that this app has been unusable. This is the only app that I have paid for and I am quickly regretting it. I am getting very close to contacting the FTC as this whole situation is becoming very questionable and deceiving. ***UPDATE*** As you can read in the developers response, the issue will be fixed in a week. I guess I should’ve asked which week as it’s been two weeks, 6 weeks in total that this app has been unusable. So many promises and no fix, such a shame. I have had this app for a few years and I never had any issues. I really loved using this app for many many projects. Recently there was an issue with changing the measurements and elevation of objects. When working properly all I had to due was keep my finger on the minus option and the object would continuously move until I lifted my finger. 4 weeks ago I discovered that was not working anymore. I contacted support and was given a generic response of “we are working on an update for the issue and we don’t know when it will be fixed” which is fine. I understand that these things take time but 4 weeks? I purchased the app and several packs and they are 100% unusable. I would have hoped for a quicker fix since ppl have paid to use this app. 4 weeks and counting with no fix just seems really crazy to me and very disappointing

Sorry for the delay with fixing the issue you refer to. Each release is a complex procedure that, besides fixing bugs, requires a lot of supporting activities. The update v4.9.1 that fixes this problem should appear in the App Store by the end of May 2024.

I had used the regular version for years and was hoping this version would fix numerous glitches and oddities the other version has but the two programs have too numerous glitches to write here. I wanted to create more than two stories, but there program creates a phantom extra story that distorts stairs and is hollow. the cabinets should all be consistent in how the turning features work and the countertops don’t like up correctly. The cabinets should be one set of plane and the additional woodwork should be an add on. The flat rectangle shape is the only one that is editable, so why have the cube? Each shape should be one that can be flipped both horizontally and vertically and lengthened. there should be a a basic mattress that you can change sizes and number of pillows. (I use the flat shape now for this so I can make custom bed frames. The most annoying is the roof feature. Absolutely bizarre things happen with them , and at times the tops disappear and it creates a miniature roof along the wall line. I wish you had a true curved roof options like a gothic arch or other arched building types where the weight falls on the outside structure. This program is far easier to learn than the IPad version of Sketch Up pro, but you are less able to edit the structure.
