Game of kings has the poorest customer service out there. For a game that pushes its players to spend money. It does a terrible job at ensuring the functionality of your account. Peace shields don’t activate when used, reinforcements sent home while being attacked. Accounts being trapped in kingdoms they didn’t originate from. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Money spenders aren’t protected in anyway. After the game glitches GOK will give you 10k-20k gold for your troubles. But, never assist in actually fixing their mistakes. This game is not improving its functionality, just the way it gets people to spend money. The game packs aren’t worth it. The game is fixed to hurt spenders during KE and kvk. Many have written reviews just to have them removed. Madman games does not respond through its customer service. It has not been escalated. I have been writing The for 3 weeks about my account being trapped and my troops killed. Many players have been writing just to get no response. I hope this review shows the devs that we do have a voice and we will use it. Next one goes to the CEO!

This is a pay to play game. You can’t compete without spending at least over 80k on it. If you go by just event to complete anything will take more than 20 years. Not only that, rich players are the main prize. With many people being harassed in and out of game. Being threatened and tossed racial insults, innocent players get muted and banned same day, those throwing insults and bullying it take days for devs to even do anything let alone read your reports if there’s too much evidence. Moderators who may have personal relationships with the developers and rich alliance players seem to protect them, more than smaller players. Therefore toxic behavior and bounties are allowed by bigger alliances. Many players with 50 accounts to make it seem like everyone is against you. While small players who fight back or talk back are quickly banned and tossed aside taken weeks for actions to be done to even protect smaller players. You can’t block players because they can see you and make it seem like everything you say is bad if you don’t screen shot everything to send back to protect yourself. The game all in all is good, but it’s more for rich players with no morals. And smaller players who are with rich players that have threatened women for nudes and said rude things and racial insults. This game should be condemned for such lack of oversight and putting personal relationships and interests before the integrity of the game.

I had high hopes for this game that they wouldn’t follow suit in creating a money making scheme but after a few short months of playing that’s exactly what they did. The latest update has proven to be the downfall of this game. Even if you’re willing to pay small amounts it’s not worth what you get in return. Customer service is a joke and respond with automatic responses. They give you tiny amounts of gold to buy things you need but it’s not enough to encourage growth, you have to spend huge amounts of money numerous times a week because the packs don’t carry anything worth purchasing. You spend your entire time desperately trying to complete ridiculous events that don’t even help enough to survive. I don’t believe the developers bother to play the game because if they did it wouldn’t be such a hot mess. My hero is constantly held for a week because the cost of a 30 shield is enough to feed a family of 3 for a week! If you are looking for a game that actually involves war this isn’t the game. This game is more like FarmVille and you spend your time building and sometimes waiting 45days to complete research with only a handful of 15min speed ups. You are better off going back to Game Of War because at least you got your money’s worth. This game leaves you bored not even able to hit monsters because you have no energy, no gold, no speed ups and they allow 2 teleports at best. Forget VIP increases, forget Hero XP this game is more frustrating than fun. I promise you this isn’t the game you want to play! Don’t believe them when they say changes are coming because they are lying.

When I first started GoK, it was a great alternative to Game of War. The devs asked for feedback and they didn’t add new features every week. Once the HD version was released, things went downhill. The HD version is almost unplayable on my phone. The phone starts overheating and the lag, just scrolling around the kingdom, gets worse the longer I’m on HD. I can switch back to the old version and things run smoothly again. But the new events only show up on the HD version. Now they are introducing t5 troops and other new events just to keep the 20 or so players that are massive spenders happy. If you start the game now, you’ll never catch up to the “bigs”. I have left my alliance, put up a 30 day shield, and I’m not sure I’ll be back. I hate to give up on a game I’ve put so much time and money into, but I can see it going the way of GoW. It was fun for a long time, but the devs don’t listen and only cater to 5-figure spenders.
